Yes. I agree. Probably vamped up to create a thrilling narrative, but I think it is very plausible that by going where no sane scientist would ever
go, they might have discovered something about the nature of the cosmos that mainstream science is just too mired in the current paradigm to even
consider.
Like a unifying theory of everything, or at last pieces of it. I also find it highly probable that some of this information could be very worrying in
the wrong hands. So perhaps thats why they are so reluctant to just blow the lid of everything.
I mean if it was, say, possible to tap into some form of underlying energy directly and this was public knowledge, some yahoo would soon be building a
"free energy device" in his garage.
"Great! Free energy! Oh it won't stop... er.. someone call the fire department, I might have just ..er.. created a small black hole..."
There might be all sorts of reasons to think well before this kind of tech is just released into the open. Look how we harnessed the power of the
atom.
And if conciousness plays into it as well (think P.E.A.R) who knows what is possible...?
I think if disclosure of these findings are indeed on the books, I think it is because the rest of the world is soon to catch up anyway. Or that's
what they are thinking, perhaps...
Just some thoughts.

ETA: I seem to remember someone somewhere, who was somewhat on the inside, declared that there was all these wonderful technological breakthroughs
mired in 'black projects' and that it would take "an act of God" for them ever to be released. Can't remember who...
