Very nice primer. You should pretty it up and expand upon it and make a post. I wish we could get it pinned to the forum.

Other parts like the Bennewitz affair, Stargate Conspiracy, the Crowley connection with Parsons and crew, Puharic and crew, and the Collins Elite would also be great additions, but some of those don't have broad consensus.

Many UFOlogists don't realize that "UFOs" are the smallest part of the whole affair.

I'm convinced he's spot on the money.
Especially after listening to the latest Fade to Black interview. There is a certain brilliance to what he has done.

They wanted you to believe UFOs were psycho babble and a pseudo-religion but God doesn't show up on radar. UFOs have frequently.
We claim there is no proof but here we are communicating on the technology they seeded us with.

I mean his contacts have checked out to be the most outstanding they could be and you guys still dismiss him? TDL never disclosed them by all accounts it's was the Russians.

He has pointed out that this is a battle of good against evil. Another thing we been brainwashed to ignore.

Not liking him is not a good enough reason for not believing him.

First, after so many years of stonewalling and ridicule you must cut us a bit of slack, and forgive us for not jumping at the next prophet trotted out by the very same people that have done the stonewalling and ridicule in the first place.

Besides, this thread has to a degree been about what can possibly be the reasons behind these connections pushing an agenda behind TDL, which is a good thing, yes? I, for one, have nothing against the man except for his music, but if he is being played by some shadowy figures, it would be good for all those interested in this subject to at least look at the alternatives before accepting it as some sort of truth. Would you not agree?

He has pointed out that this is a battle of good against evil. Another thing we been brainwashed to ignore.

If someone were going to point out that we were in a struggle with some forces of evil intent a simple notice would suffice. From, say, the president. That's what they did in ww2 and also in the more recent wars. The last thing you want is to muddy the waters so that nobody can be sure about anything. Unless... Unless you were the bad guys, of course. Or you were not being entirely truthful.

TD was not just focusing on it in the US.....

I know. But my whole point was that Tom's story is just another chapter to the mix of misinformation, disinformation and sprinkle of truth that has surfaced down the years. The UFO phenomenon is not purely a US phenomenon of course. But all the more colourful tales - Presidential meetings with aliens, crashed saucer retrievals, breakaway civilizations, Area 51, MJ12, SERPO, Dulce stories etc. come out of America.

You said yourself :

"..... our culture is moved by story -- it is how we are wired, from the first entertainment and myth, legend and song drummed around the clan campfire to the multi-million dollar flash and sizzle of modern film, story feeds us, informs us, and sinks into our consciousness far better than, say, a dry treatise on "the facts of ufology" or some guy in a military uniform giving a ten minute press "

What I am saying is that this has been done for a long time. Dating back to the 1951 when "The Day the Earth Stood Still" was released under the influence of the CIA. But it's nothng more than a merry dance and the truth remains elusive because it's always tainted with misinformation as well. Some of it is to promote US/Western technological superiority. Much of it to conceal secret black ops projects. Tom's "project" seems like just another phase of it all. He pays for it whilst he is 'helped' by top brass military people.

Maybe he thinks he's stumbled on something truly revealing and believes these people he's dealing with. Maybe he has? But the history of the UFO topic is littered with personalities who had the answers for us. Everything eventually turned to dust or at best remains unprovable and unresolved. This is why caution must be exercised once again. Everything that has come before has never quite turned out what it seemed to be.

Now where did I leave my Roswell slide.....

Aah there it is

We'll have to agree to disagree.

I don't dislike TD. I simply am well-informed.

I'd say that it's impossible to understand "UfOs" until you understand the occult mythological underpinnings of the subject.

No they want you to believe UFOs are really alien spacecraft or there is nothing at all to them.

I tend to think we humans are clever enough to have created the world wide web. It's another cliché that we were too dumb to invent things for ourselves and build structure like the pyramids. If that's the case how come we are also intelligent enough to copy the gifts from the gods (sorry aliens) and utilize them ourselves?

Another cliché is that aliens came here to stop our warlike ways after the nuclear detonations during WWII. So they then drop off a load hi-tech gear which we can also use to build better, bigger weapons with?

... I mean his contacts have checked out to be the most outstanding they could be and you guys still dismiss him? TDL never disclosed them by all accounts it's was the Russians.

His contacts will of course tell him the truth as well won't they?

These are from the same people who conspiracy theorists claim are part of the 'government' concealing the UFO secrets from us for nearly a century. Of course when they deny anything they are liars and when they reveal 'secrets' they are solid sources.

He has pointed out that this is a battle of good against evil. Another thing we been brainwashed to ignore. Not liking him is not a good enough reason for not believing him.

Have we really been brainwashed to ignore the battle of Good v Evil? From the Bible to Star Wars it's inherent in our culture.

Who said we don't like Tom? I am merely concerned that he is being deceived and thus becoming a deceiver himself with his 'project'.

Well, said! That is my sentiment as well; I am also concerned for Tom.

Absolutely yes. Our technology is inevitably memetic of our biological processes.

Great posts.

Hold it down*, brother.

Well we'll just have to wait and see.
I think the burden of proof for ETs is overwhelming.
I just hope the release of the emails hasn't derailed TDL and any real plans for disclosure.
The time is right. People need to know, they are going to have to adjust.

No one saying humanity is stupid because they gave us a few bits of technology. It was all about directing development. We've run with it. When discovered electricity that directed the development of communications power etc the microchip has completely radically changed virtually every facet of life on this planet.

*shrug*.

It's been "over" for Tom's # for awhile.

Can you clarify what you mean by that?

A 'burden of proof' places the onus on someone to prove their assertion(s). But it seems to be your assertion.

You haven't got the juice for this.

But it's fun to watch you try.

I can only try

The tide is definitely against TDL.
I can't tell you guys why I'm so sure even if I could you wouldn't believe me. Time will tell.
