Exactly right! And again, the important part is that his reddit posts implies he was instructed to do this. That is what is new, it shows that someone above him INTENDED to break the law.

This is why if he didn't give this info to the FBI, his immunity should be revoked for withholding info. If he did give this info and the FBI still claims there was no intent and Combetta acted on his own, then they are corrupt and should be held accountable.

Either way it serves as fodder for the election cycle.

Sure...Changing a personal email to a place holder like (Hillary Clinton)...might very well be attempted evidence tampering...but he received full blanket immunity from the FBI before being interviewed by them...and he might have already fully disclosed this..

Kepe in mind from his posts, he says "they" want him to do this, meaning his employers, Hillary and her staff.

"They" is a big word...from a legal perspective...not a smoking gun IMO. Is he a one man shop? Or does he work for an IT firm? It could have been his bosses at the IT firm? A lawyer?...and it could have been HRCs staff or HRC herself..but the word "they" doesn't hang anyone.

The other point that is even more damning for your theory is that if stonetear was indeed trying to just put a placeholder

If the bleach-bit stuff had veracity and teeth it would be more than a headline and the DOJ has looked into it already.

So your theory would be he innocently wanted to change [email protected] to just say Hillary, so he goes to reddit for help.

If you want to have an objective conversation...stop acting like I am making this stuff up.

He claims on there that "they" want him to do this. He can not find the help he needs on reddit. He then somehow decides, "well if I can't find a placeholder as my employers have asked, I will just delete all of the emails in such a way that they can never be found". He does this on his own, knowing that it is a crime, without contacting the people that asked him to put a placeholder name in.

You have the above in quotes? Where was that on the reddit exchange?

Actually, it constitutes a conspiracy to tamper with evidence and obstruct justice.

It was illegal. Stonetear states that 'they' wanted to strip out a VIP's email address. His act in even asking Reddit about it constitutes 'an action taken to further that conspiracy.'

It does constitute a criminal conspiracy to tamper with evidence and obstruct justice...not 'could,' not 'potential.'

And since he was told in the thread that it is illegal with regard to evidence discovery, then he cannot claim to have not known the action was illegal.

ETA: And BTW, if Combetta told the FBI, what about 'they' who wanted Combetta to strip out the email address? Who are 'they?' And why haven't 'they' been questioned in a conspiracy to tamper with evidence and obstruct justice criminal investigation?

His immunity was limited and it was granted before he tampered with the emails. That is the meaning of his 'Oh #' moment. He forgot to dump those emails.
He very well may have violated that agreement with the tampering.

One those involved was the other employee that "plead the fifth" that day along with Combetta...

I didn't pretend you didn't say that. I quoted you and disputed the word 'potential.'

Even if he is not on the hook -- and I think he might be - 'they' that he referred to, are on the hook for conspiracy to tamper with evidence and obstruct justice.

ETA: To clarify, I am probably reading as very defensive of my POV. And that's because I think this is such solid evidence of a conspiracy, the thought of people trying to sweep this under the rug really angers me. And I am very worried it will be. I don't even have confidence in Congress or the FBI, at this point. The last thing I could stomach is hearing 'neener neener -- they can't touch him.' This morning MSM is covering some tax issue with Trump but not this issue with Clinton's emails.

From everything I could google he was granted immunity early this year...the Reddit exchange was a couple years ago.

They were still in the process of subpoenaing emails when he was on Reddit..The FBI investigation wasn't even rolling with interviews then.

I could have sworn that I have seen that email without redaction, but having seen so much stuff the past few days, I could be mistaken... just to clear the record
