Haha I find it humorous that you think the Human species is better then an animal. Here's a thought, get a big mirror, take your clothes off. Get down on your hands and knees....and what do we have here?!! (besides an ugly naked person) a semi-hairless ANIMAL.

And just because someone loves animals, that doesn't imply they are going to or have even thought of sacrificing another human.

I was raised Christian and became an atheist.. so it must be pretty bad that I have to correct you in the ways on your own 'peaceful' religion.. [and it made me shudder having to quote the bible ]. I certainly do not want to promote it.. but I want to discourage hate and discrimination and doctrine seems to be the only language fundies understand.

You have your own truth.. others have theirs. Didn't Jesus preach tolerence, respect and love? Guess you missed that part.

Without a doubt this will be the last time I request that the people in this thread stop with the personal insults. Warnings will be next, escalating to a level of your choosing.

If I do insult someone or something, I promptly apologize or I make sure they know I am just kidding, and not to take it to heart.

I am not one for turning the other cheek, and I also stick up for others. So when someone hurls insults *cough* Deesw *cough*, I hurl a bigger one back.

To get rid of the problem, it should just be the person who cast the first stone.

Why must anything be hurled at others?? I stick up for others also, especially if I think they are being picked on. I don't feel like I want to "stick it to them". I do try and get them to reflect on their actions and stop being so, rude, ignorant, offensive, whatever adjective

Being a jerk to a jerk usually just leads to a who is going to be the biggest jerk contest. Sometimes a group ignore(aka don't respond to a jerk) is the most effective way

The bible / religion is just an attempt to give reason to things that mankind cannot understand.

If you really look at the bible, does it not seem laughable? Just as witches do now adays, to most people.

Back in the day, we didn't understand, so we had to find some reason for weird occurances, witchcraft / black magic, of course that must be the answer! kinda relative to the bible don't you think?

IF Jesus was the first to bring his religion into the world. What about the pharoah, that was almost completely erased from history? He reigned anywhere from 1000 - 2000 BC, and he changed the primary religion from Gods, to 1, a single all powerful God. He was the intermidiatary between God and the People. He was Jesus Basically. Maybe IF jesus existed he just took this mans Ideas and ran with it.

This didnt last mind you, and the religion was re-set when his son, or the next Pharoah was ruler.

Sorry my sources are crap, watched in on the discovery channel awhile ago, with a little surfing I could find it probably, but I am lazy, and hungry. Food comes first.

I know there are alot of people who do not believe in God or that Jesus Christ is the son of God and our only source of salvation. You are free to believ as you wish. I do believe inthe Bible and that Jesus is the only way to heaven. I just do not understand that why with the possibility of spending eternity in hell as a opposed to spending eternity in Heaven that anyone would risk their eternal soul to damnation. If you are wrong you cannot imagine the misery you will suffer through for all eternity. If you freely chose to not believe, at the end of the road you better be right, because you have wagered your soul and it's place in forever on the outcome.

The bible is the word and the truth. It will never be laughable. Witches (if there were any) would have been drawn from evil. If you believe in evil and Satan, then how can you not believe in good and God? Most who belittle the bible have not read it in full and/or just do not understand it.

you forget one thing, bible was written by a human, and humans have a little bad habbit called "over exaggirating(sp?) actual events"

like people tell stories about great kings and stuff and are saying they were huge on big horse, while in fact it wasn't like that!

Bible was written by God through man's hand. If you have no faith, thats your right, at least have faith in yourself.

Let see, I think that the Bible is a good book to read. Just like any other religious book because it widens your perspective. Whether you believe in one or the other is up to you. The choice to choose what you believe in is something no one can take away. I personally wished something like the Matrix was real, but I am not going to leap from any building to see if I can free my mind either. We are slowly seeing religion offending someone and measures being take to seperate church from state. Pretty soon, it may all dissolve, but not because no one believes, but because religion will be persecuted and looked upon as an opposition to the system. I believe that there is a God. Anything beyond that belief is my own. Every religion claims to be the "right" one, but you can't follow them all. This is why our own convictions will lead us to the path we wan't to choose. To each his own. (To each their own to be PC)

abigail, witches do not believe in satan, satan is a christian creation. Witches do not have a satan, they have Hurn and Goddess, no satan, no demons, no evil. Witches do exist and did exist, if they hadn't I doubt we would be alive today. They were the first DOCTORS, PHARMACISTS, NURSES, MIDWIFE, and even the first SHRINKS! They healed people even when others were out to kill them.

And again, WHAT IS BUNNY HUGGING! And no insults from me, yet, unless he is attacking my bunny with the term bunny hugging.

I believe "bunny hugging" is basically being a pacifist. I could be off a bit, but that would be the general idea

The thing that I do not understand here...is that all a person has to do is research history for ones self...that's all it takes. A person should not just listen to what a anyone tells them, not a preacher, not a minister, not me, no one...just research the truth. Why is that so hard. Abigail, I take it by what you have said, that you have to read this whole thread....Again learning the true history of something doesn't mean that you no longer believe or have faith...not at all...it also doesn't hurt to let other's live they way they want to, without ridicule....I bet if either of you knew many of us personally, you would like us...and it has nothing to do with not wanting to be called "Wiccan" at all...it is the manner in which you are saying it...."you" are the one making it appear shameful...most certainly not us

Witches exist! They just don't fly around on brooms anymore! and why should they when they can buy a Lexus!

But being for real, mankind has stopped believing in witches and sorcerers because Satan is decieving manknind into believeing that he doesn't exist!

So, if he doesn't exist, then God must not exist!

that is your opinion. and as all know opinions are like A**holes everyone has one. as for sacrificing anything , your ignorance is once again showing. Wiccans DO NOT sacrifice anything. If however i was ever to take up the practice i can assure you that you would be on the short list right up there with David Duke .

actually most who question the validity of the bible have read it quite extensivly and probably have a much better understanding of its history than you.

So do YOU believe that all that happened is in the bible? if it isnt there it didnt happen?
