Missionary Flights International bird, most likely N200MF, shortly after take off from KFPR, on 2 Feb 2022 at 1300 local time. Quick shot through the open sunroof of the truck.

N200MF is a DC-3 that has been upgraded with Pratt & Whitney PT6A-65AR turbines. Our family was lucky to fly on it for a fundraiser day on 29 Feb 2020 as well.

They have a second DC-3 in operation and a third is in the process of being restored and upgraded. Here's a video on the restoration of the third.

Aborted take off from Patrick SFB this morning. Rolled about 500 yards, cut the engines and threw up the spoilers. No thrust reverses popped on the inboard engines, so maybe something wonky with #2 or #3. Coasted all the way down to the ramp at the south end and was stopped there.

Looks like whatever happened between then and me getting home was resolved.

I should've hitched a ride. Headed up that way tomorrow.

Indeed. Explains the indent on the bottom of the bombers we've been seeing.
