I think you're referring to the story that both Adam Lanza's and James Holmes' fathers were SAID to have been involved in the LIBOR scandal, but at the end of the day it was a Sorcha Faal disinfo piece. Like many stories like this one, it started in one place and then a bunch of other websites/outlets picked up the story and everyone believed it (for a brief period of time)

To any Democrat and Obama supporter, this is a non issue and moot besides. They consider the matter solved to their satisfaction and smugly suggest anyone who thinks otherwise needs to get a life.

I get that. You think you are right, and it really is a moot point at this stage.

But there's more to this. You don't know it because you weren't paying attention at the time when Obama first began his run. Indeed, there are MANY points to Obama's life that have been swept under the rug and hidden. They were once easily available on the Net. Now they are pretty much all purged.

1. On Obama's ORIGINAL web page, the one that had no Democratic Party backing, the one that his supporters first put up before he got famous, there was a picture of his "birth certificate." It was actually his sister's where her name had been crudely scrubbed out and Obama's stuck in. Now, of course, that web page has long disappeared. I saw it at the time.

2. The birth certificate you see today as proof is not an original. It is "the way they do it today" but it is not the original. The original was a form in which the data was hand written. This was then transformed into the computer-produced "short form" you see today, with all the data printed by computer. I believe all states do this now. My very first birth certificate was a negative "photostat" of the original form, black with white writing. Today, writing to the state I was born in yields a computerized certificate like you see here. It is legal proof of birth, but it is not original.

Those two issues beg the question, of course. The original that no one has ever seen may very well show he was born in Hawaii. One wonders why the deception early on, however, and THAT is why the question persists.

I said that myself. I thought the additional information might be of interest to people, since I have not seen it. I understand that Obama supporters have their heads in the sand on this issue. That's how they roll.

Obama supporter? Dude. I haven't believed this stupid conspiracy theory even when I was an avowed Obama critic and couldn't stand a single thing he did. This CT has ALWAYS been a desperate attempt by conservatives to try to game the system to get Obama kicked out of office. That's it.

I mean damn. I know I harp on how conservatives won't let Benghazi go, but at LEAST in that situation they have something to harp on because # actually went down. THIS conspiracy theory relies on speculation, circumstantial evidence, and EXTREME bias against Obama. Oh and a very loose interpretation of Presidential qualifications since Obama is an American by his mom alone.

You find it true? Why do you find it true? Because there is a lot of information there? Just because someone on ATS did a lot of research doesn't make the content true, believable, or even credible.

I never said it's true, I believe I referred to it as being 'informative'.

And I should have referred to this site as 'being about getting to the truth' - or at least informative debate so you can draw your own conclusions.

The search for truth for the sake of Truth is always a valid endeavor. Like you, I think this thread has been super informative and the research went the extra mile, something all ATSers should appreciate. Posters like MME are invaluable!

And, remember, it was the Clintons that were first suspicious. They knew something then and it wasn't until Obama and the Clintons began to collaborate and do the tit-for-tat dance in quid pro quo style that they dropped the issue. But, the cat was already out of the bag and it took on a life of its own.
