OP first I want to praise you on all your hard work and a great thread.

However, I just can't get past Occam's Razor. For the life of me I can't understand how, of all things, a birth certificate would be hard to create for someone in the power of Mr. Obama.

I will leave the door wide open for this possibility but I have to go with the most simplest answer.

Yes it does I can see both sides of the illusion by looking at it. If you look at certain bits of it the rest looks raised then when you move your eyes to another part it doesn't look raised.
Sorry you can't see this.

Why are you looking at 'certain parts,' of it? Look at the photo and use the source of light to tell you what direction it's impressed.

Besides, Factcheck handled the document, took that photo, and labeled it as "raised."

Thanks for this thread. It is very interesting. Strangely enough, about a week ago, I ended up going down a similar and related rabbit hole. Not sure how I got there, but I did.

Anyways, is this leading towards Obama not being the son of Stanley Ann Dunham or not being the son of Obama Sr? Or both?

One interesting occurrence/coincidence is Bari Shabazz, born 1959 in New York, had a car accident in Hawaii in 1982. He never showed up in court for it. Social security shows he died in 1994, but with no death certificate and showing a discrepancy between what was reported and what government records showed.

Strangely, the court case was dismissed in Apr of 2003. Quite strange timing, indeed.

The other father candidate I saw was Frank Marshall Davis. Just looking at pictures, Obama doesn't look like Sr at all, but looks strikingly like both Shabazz and Davis.

Falls in line with the Rothschild's making Hitler appear from nowhere.

Don't know if any of this is true, but sure is interesting.

That's exactly what it means.

One person who posed as a 'birther' and posted her own alleged Hawaii birth certificate online has an interesting background. Research on her showed her father went to the University of Hawaii at the same time as Stanley Ann Dunham. Her brother spearheaded the tech community that built the "Trust the Vote" voter registration system -- used by many states and Rock The Vote.

And when I asked that she give the Hawaii Department of Health permission to authenticate and verify the birth certificate she posted online, she refused.

The people behind floating those birth certificates are very interesting -- across the board.

Another person posed as a 'birther' and posted what he claimed was his sister's Hawaiian birth certificate online at the white supremacist website, Storm Front. Research on that certificate showed his family did not live in Oahu at the time indicated on the birth certificate he posted. They lived on the big island of Hawaii.

One by one I went through these people and none of them are credible.

Everyone should commend the OP for putting forth a seemingly well researched thread about a subject they are obviously passionate about. There have not been enough of these type of threads lately.

Having said that. This is just beating a dead horse. The mans two terms are over. Birthers have lost. The whole thing is a moot point. Because it no longer matters. It is irrelevant. His time as president has come and gone.

Even if all the time and energy spent on this pans out. It still does not matter. If after Obama leaves office. It comes out that he was in fact born in Kenya. It still won't matter. Because anyone advocating that he was not born here. Has already been outmaneuvered.

When Ted Cruz was running, the question of his eligibility came up. And it was decided that someone with an American citizen as a mother, who was born in another country, is eligible to run for president. So the precedence has been set.

Even if you vehemently disagree with the above. About Obama and Cruz. The law does not. So its all just a matter of sour grapes.

Even those in political power with a vested interest in bringing Obama down a peg or two, to fire up their voting base. Have switched tactics. As can be seen in this thread. The issue has been switched from was Obama born in Kenya, which thanks to Cruz, no longer matters. To, was Obama adopted, implying that neither of his birth parents were American citizens.

But that is all just my opinion. I really do not have a horse in this race.

Not even CLOSE to an accurate comparison. The Mike Brown situation is barely a few years old. This has been an ongoing idiocy since before Obama was elected President. Now Obama's Presidency is wrapping up, so proving it true wouldn't really change much. Not that it is true since it makes no sense why forging the certificate in the first place was necessary given Obama's birth mother as well as his Presidential record.

Has BO ever sworn in court under oath he was born in Hawaii, or on American Territory? ISTM that if there was a real issue you'd want to put it to bed and go do that and publish it. Make it impossible to lie. Testify under oath with a notary and document and film it.

Something is off here.

Sometimes I wish there was one day a year when all politicians had to go into a booth that would give the same effect as 'Liar, Liar' the Jim Carey movie where they are compelled to tell the truth, and more, where they are compelled to start exposing any lies.

It does matter. There were people that posed as 'birthers' and flooded the internet with images of alleged Hawaii birth certificates that actually 'corroborated' the authenticity of Obama's.

Research into those people reveals exactly how a controlled opposition operation works.

Every request I made to get some of them to allow the Hawaii Department of Health to authenticate and verify their alleged birth certificates was refused.

That glimpse at how controlled opposition works is valuable -- now more than ever.

Will it end Obama's presidency? No. But that's not the only worthy possible outcome.

Most (if not all) the court cases were controlled opposition as well, IMO.

Those cases and claims all had at least one key point "missing" in the arguments.

Obama never had to prove anything (that was the purpose).

ETA: And, yes, having dealt with Orly Taitz and Leo Donofrio, I do believe they are controlled opposition. Because I believe that, having worked alongside and with them, I don't even bother giving the rest behind the numerous court cases any benefit of the doubt. I see no reason to, at this point.

Oh, how delicious is the irony that people who once stood by Factcheck's claims that the photo of the seal below actually shows a RAISED seal ON THE BACK of Obama's birth certificate, now claim the 'raised' quality is simply an optical illusion because I've revealed that they aren't looking at the back of Obama's birth certificate, at all.



And THAT^ is how Factcheck first published the photo. They cropped it and obliterated all signs that it is actually a photo of the FRONT of the record.

I don't have one either. When I order an official one there's a gold or metallic blue foil-like sticker with some seal on it, county maybe? State? But it is raised. However since work and school always accept copies, in used to simply seeing a big blacked out circle with star zig zag edges on the bottom where it should be. Im gonna pull my original out and have a look at the seal on mine.
