Did anybody ever ascertain whether or not children were killed? Or was that bogus? I think that woman said she was a Muslim from Kosovo. I haven't heard anything else said about a shooting inside McDonalds.

I wonder why a woman would call CNN and report such a thing? She should be charged with something. It contributed to panic.

How does an 18 year old in Germany get a gun? In the US 18 is old enough in many states to buy a rifle or shotgun, but not a pistol. Some states allow possession of a pistol to 18 year olds but they can't be the one that purchases it. However, it's not hard at all for an 18 year old to acquire an illegal gun. I doubt that is the case in Germany. The numbet of killed abd wounded seems high for an untrained person using a pistol.

This is easily googleable. You can have a gun in Germany. They're tightly regulated, and some types banned, but you damn sure can own one. Quit with the "But they don't allow guns!" horse manure.

Charged with what?

Violating sharia?

Being a muslim woman out in public without a male escort, if in fact she is a muslim?

I knew that, I just didn't know how easy of an endeavor it would be for an 18 year old to get one. In most of the US it would be easier for an 18 year old to get a rifle than a pistol, but would require some form of 21+ aged assistance to go through legal channels of purchase to acquire a pistol. It appears he was using a pistol, I was just wondering if it was relatively similar in Germany.

I'm no expert on foreign gun laws. Hence why i asked. Not my business how Germany regulates firearms. That's between the German people and their government.

Actually, to be more accurate & not have it sound like an immigrant fresh off the dingy, it's a native-born German kid of Iranian heritage. If you watch the aforementioned video, he puts a LOT of emphasis on calling himself German, and says nothing else. He also mentions being born there, and he also mentions bullying towards him for 7 years.
A news update said he'd been living in the Munich area for 2 years, not merely in the country for 2 years.

I get the feeling this might be found to have been a kid who was bullied to extremes, probably over heritage, and he snapped, lashing out in the worst way possible. If I'm wrong, eh, I'm wrong, but I'll bet on it for the time being.

My husband (German himself) said he believes it's 18 now. It was 20 before, as far as he knows.

He had to be born an Iranian citizen.

Iran does not even recognize dual citizenship only Iranian citizenship.

As far as I can tell from googling, Iran recognizes something called "multiple citizenship". This was tough for me to stumble on, as it seems to be used in synonymous manner with dual citizenship. It's really confusing to find the right info, but it doesn't really look all that different from dual citizenship to me at first glance.

However, he can be regarded as an Iranian national despite being born abroad if his father is Iranian. It's passed down paternally.

Quick edit:
I'm also reading that Germany does not permit dual citizenship, but if the parents are from a non-EU country, the child can be granted dual citizenship if they are born and grow up there. Germans, feel free to expand on this one, you'd know better than my google-fu, ultimately.

And worst comes to worst, just mosey on across the border to France, stop by your local mosque and pick one up there.

18 year old german going on a rampage. I am sad, this shows more than anything else we have lots of work to do. If even people born here, speaking the language fluently have full access to all educational opportunities and the alleged cultural opportunities are sad and desperate enough to go out and kill.

A poor kid. 9 Unnecessary dead. He blamed Hartz 4 and so do I.

Ok, woke up to this and had to do some research because I read the most 'official' story first and it made it seem that this is a sad teenager, who was bullied and got so angry, he shot others. Not a spur of the moment thing, as he was inviting them for free food at McDonalds beforehand. So it was well planned..

School friends are saying he was a loner and quiet.

So far so good, looks like a mad kid on a revenge spree.

His name is ALI and he is an Iranian with a German passport.

Then I read around and find out that, he is a muslim and there was isis propaganda found and there were more than one shooters. Of course nothing can be proven at all.

So on logical grounds I could agree that it was just a teen gone wrong. But I have to add that islam MUST have played a role in thinking that this is a good way to solve problems.

Why?

Because he is definitely a disturbed kid.

Disturbed people find solace in something. If you are of muslim background, I'd assume islam and prayers will help you to some extent.

Like ALL religious nutters, it is easy to use your religion as a starting point [usually completely misreading the peaceful messages their religions want to portrait. There are multiple terror attacks happening at the moment by muslims as isis is asking 'anyone to help out and they'll be grateful'. You don't have to be a member to do their work!

A teen is easily attracted to action, perceived 'adventure' and danger. It's exciting and rebellious.

Here is the formula:

Disturbed teen + fanatics of his own religion calling for mayhem + Teen combines his own problems with ideology = [for him] justified massacre.

He would have done something had he not been religious [this is important] the excuse could have been anything. However in the current climate he did it because somehow he believed that if other muslims can do this, so can I.

If his folks are Iranian, isn't it more likely they are Shiite and thus not likely to be anything to do with IS who are Sunni?

So, it was a Muslim after all. As expected.

Here's what we need to do in order to stop these terrorists.

First, send all illegal immigrants where they came from. ALL OF THEM. Second, stop bombing their countries, and let them kill themselves, as they always do. Third, increase control over Muslims living in European countries.

Result? No more innocent lives lost.
