Translation from the Police Conference.

transscription from the press conference: 10 dead, 21 injured including 3 critically wounded 2300 Police officers, different agencies as well as Swiss and Austrian Police Special Forces were involved The shooter was an 18 year old Iranian-German The perpetrator lived for two years in munich, prior to the shooting. He had no previous criminal record. Further information on the shooters background have to be further inspected before released to the public. The suspects car is not of interest concerning the incident For now, no information will be released about the dead, they have to be identified first and the relatives have to be informed prior. The shooting started at 17:50, the body was found at 20:30 The person on the rooftop was the shooter Currently no reason to be concerned about safety, but it has to be clear that there can not be a 100% security

So he was only in Germany for 2 years? There goes the Nazi extremist line then.
I guess it was gone already given he was of Iranian descent.

Careful. You are exposing your personal agenda. It appears he has only lived in Munich for 2 years, but reports say he was born in Germany, but also had dual citizenship.

I am going off the police statement posted above.
I am having a hard time believing an young man of Iranian descent was going on a Nazi fuelled killing spree against immigrants.
Sounds more like radical islamic terror to me.

For me the german-iranian attacker sounded more like he was fed to the back teeth about poverty, being threated badly by the society, and obvisiously mental ill. He didn´t make a difference of who he was shooting, he tried to shoot everything that moved, that he saw.

I am asking myself who maybe tricked him into that event(perfect patsie, menatl ill...), maybe his instructor or instructors with the long rifles that never existed?

The long rifles, like the long nose of Pinnochio...

IF you people would pay attention, it has been said via the rooftop exchange translation that he was:

A.) BORN there. Not a 2-year fresh immigrant.
B.) Considered himself German. Didn't seem to be interested in mentioning anything else.
C.) Inferred bullying long-term (mention of 7 years of something aimed at him)

Now y'all have enough pieces to put together something plausible. My money's on a badly bullied kid -- for whatever reason(s) -- lashing out violently.

Fox news reporting only one shooter right now (O'Reilly factor)

Wtf?! Everytime!

We start with multiple shooters then when all the media finally gets there hands on it and filters it out to the public, multiple gunmen becomes lone wolf.......

Its getting old. I'm tired of constantly being lied to.

100 lone shooters equals an army.

I can inform you that one of the victims is an Albanian girl, a Muslim. I know her name as well, but will not post it here.

You're taking something out of context for political purposes.

Even the press laughed because he was portraying a human side, a human moment to connect with personal feeling in a time of tragedy.

Like I said, grow up.

He made a joke about his daughter leaving home in a press conference about these Munich shootings. It's Obama who is out of context and completely nuts. Completely odd thing to do.

You find it odd because you have an agenda.

I'll say it again, grow up.

Using this to push your partisan hackery when the President was just trying to have a human moment with the press/people is childish.

May she rest in peace.

But then he would have mentioned that, and not emphasizing that he is german. He would have yelled Allahu Akbar at that rooftoop in that conversation with that bavarian "not nazi but...", who filmed the conversation, too.
At least what i would have done as a radical muslim extremist to let the world know about it.

I just find it odd that Obama would be laughing and joking whilst discussing killings in Munich,
Fortunately the news media has picked it up, so lots of people will see him do it. Disgraceful in my opinion.

You are free to personally attack me all you like. It won't sway my view that Obama acted without thought or compassion for the families of the dead. I am sure the last thing on their minds is the day their kids leave home.

I can inform you that the majority of the people killed in the middle east are also muslim.

EVEN the people in the twin towers on 9-11.

Actually, now that we know his age & that a few kids (teens) have in fact been hurt, it's entirely possible that he was targeting kids of the same age range his peers bullying him may have fallen in to at some point. A sad & twisted sort of hopeless revenge?

Yes, it's the same man that was at McDonalds.

Yes, it's certainly the same clothes, and one still in the clearer video appears to resemble the same person, while the actual recording will be clearer to some degree than we can see on the internet.

I suppose we need to take it then that the man died on the roof somewhere...perhaps?

Spare us from your political partisanship. This is not the time nor place. The media may have picked it up, but you are helping them turn this tragedy in to a political matter. Even Obama did not do that.

Where I come from, it's called the blame game...no one has all the facts, so they're guessing at who to blame. And it happens in every single thread like this on ATS.

I don't believe anyone said all extremists are alike. I certainly didn't. But it is a fact that there are extremists in every ideology, and no amount of splitting hairs is going to make it any less true.

No, he turned into a joke, which I find disgusting.
He commented on these shootings so his reaction as the President of the USA is entirely relevant and the time and place.
He should have been more respectful to the dead and their families.
