Apparently an eight month old baby in a stroller was lost during the stampede, due to the pressure of the crowd, but was grabbed by other people and eventually returned to its mother after an appeal on social media, according to Le Figaro.

Sur Facebook, avec le hashtag #PortesOuvertesNice, une famille a réussi à retrouver son bébé de huit mois perdu sur sa poussette lors du mouvement de foule créé par le passage du camion, raconte le site de 20 Minutes.

Un message avait été publié sur Facebook: "NOUS AVONS PERDU BB 8 MOIS AMIS NIÇOIS SI VOUS L'AVEZ VU SI VOUS Y ÉTIEZ SI VOUS L'AVEZ RECUEILLI SVP CONTACTEZ MOI !!!!!". L'enfant a été accueilli chez des inconnus qui ont ensuite pu prendre de contact avec ses parents. La personne qui avait posté le message a annoncé la bonne nouvelle sur le réseau social: "TROUVÉ !!!!! MERCI INFINIMENT À MME JOY RUEZ !!!!!!!!"

Translation:

But i am having a very hard time believing he was serious since he shown empathy for the "poor truck driver who got shot and his rights violated" , he murdered 80 people.

Well obviously they are going to have to implement some form of future measures to prevent similar attacks occurring because as this tragic event horrendously illustrates, such a vehicle is the perfect weapon to commit such an act of carnage.

When will people realize that attacks like these are nothing but recruiting drives??

The people organizing them WANT a blanket reaction of hatred towards Muslims because it is the best way they can draw otherwise peaceful Muslims into their twisted cause.

So what if his name is Mohamed? I'm convinced there's a perfectly good explanation which will show he's got nothing to do with Islam, or that he was just robbing a bank and decided to steamroll over innocent people...

Sarcasm off, I've said it since page one who's responsible for the attack, and for that I've been called a lot of things. Let's see how we react in order to prevent any more innocent life's of child, women and men being lost to these terrorists.

Remember it's guns, and bombs and knives ..... and now trucks that are evil, not radical islamic extremists.

I do think we have a chance of solving this serious truck problem though ..... by banning guns.

There were quite a few Muslim victims. A reporter at the scene said she saw a lot of ladies in niqabs, heard people speaking Arabic and saw a family whose mother had been killed saying she was a martyr. Everybody is suffering from this type of attack. Muslims are being killed in scores, weekly in Iraq and Syria and now even in France.

But enough of that. Bono! Bono was in town and has not been harmed. Eff everybody else. Bono is safe.
