Absolute madness. It should be no longer a question that religious or not, having immigrant settlers with different views should be deported. There should be no question about this, if a group of people cannot live without their faith, life choices and beliefs in day to day life then they should be removed without question. A country that succeeds is built of its laws and choices, it is not built on bending over backwards to accept changes.

Then, slowly things like this would not happen. It is clearly caused by a certain group and race, this is clear now. No more idiotic notion of racist slants. This needs to be ended and the people of france and any other european country needs to literally deport everyone that has not been a resident for the past 20 years.

Our countries are literal ticking time
's

The government love this too, as it puts our attention on them instead of whats happening with our money, rights and future.

I do think every single person who has entered the country in the last 20 years should be screened and a decision made on whether to deport and/or have citizenship revoked. Multiculturalism was always a nonsense...never has and never will work. It's enough that the world is multicultural - we don't have to all live in the same place. In fact, by insisting that every country becomes a melting pot, we are in fact killing global multiculturalism as in generations to come every country will just have the same mix of people.

Can't imagine it being easy stopping a truck that size once it's picked up speed?

It would be passed you before you had time to react, even then....what could you do?

Unless they start installing pop up metal vehicle stopping posts every 50m, not quite sure what could have been done with a truck this size.

Either way it would have been carnage. If the police had been able to take the tires out, it would have gone out of control in the crowd. No car block is going to stop a truck like that at speed.

Can't see why people find it so hard to believe it got so far ?

CX.

I saw this incident later than most but what i did note was the speed of the TRuck! It wasn't moving very fast at all. In fact it seemed to be in cruise control slowing down...

Maybe the Security thought it was going to stop as it approached the crowds... I couldn't see if it picked up speed further along but I guess it must have.

Either way, it's a good job it wasn't rigged to blow because there would have been much more dead.

I think this is because it's a daily thing in Iraq... almost and most likely we just say to ourselves 'oh... another attack in Iraq'. Also because France is closer to home for us Europeans and we are more inclined to be with them (French people) than Iraqi's.

You cannot just decide to deport 9.6 % of the population of a nation simply down to the imagined slant that they all somehow support terrorism, which they dont.

The logistics alone would be a nightmare never mind the fact that its racist and totalitarian in the extreme.

Totally agree, if the truck had been rigged to explode the loss of life would have been 10 time worse. Thank heavens for small mercy's i suppose.

Which is why screening methods should be employed before deportation.

There narrative is so extreme and hateful in this thread, I have to get my news elsewhere. Thanks for driving me out away from ATS as my news source after all these years.

Just to throw a curve. From what we know to this point, it is entirely possible that this was simply a "road rage" incident.

We might know in a day or so if he was just late for a pick up and blew his stack.

Yeah he was late delivering his fake grenades and guns and happened to be carrying a gun on him too (which is illegal in France). Seems likely.

The news trains you well.

It is not about them being potential terrorist lovers, it is about them not accepting the country they are living in. Committing acts of crime is one thing, another is parading down the streets demanding change to laws and methods of worship. This kind of act should be taken as a one way ticket back to their country. I know I would personally circle them up, and write them all a one way ticket back on the first boat leaving port.

The point here is that some immigrants are now certified residents of european countries, however that in current climates should not be taken as concrete. As in actual fact, they are not actual citizens of these countries. They are not born, bread and blood part of that country since its creation. Hence, they are still immigrants and foreigners.

Islam. At its core, its fundamental foundation, it calls for war. Spreading the theocracy by any means necessary. All the while being justified by an "ends justify the means" theology.

Islam has a problem. It is Muslims’ responsibility to reform their own faith. It is America’s responsibility to defend itself and its citizens. Neither goal is advanced by telling convenient, politically correct lies

I dont see methods such as deportation of a significant percentage of the population as a viable option. Where would they deport the poor souls to? Tell you this down that road lies death camps and mass genocide as history has already proven time and time again.

So its a numbers game? The only reason people ''bicker'' over this is due to this not being a norm for most civilised people. In places like Iraq, they have allowed for their own demise due to allowing such idiotic principles grow and now they are growing here and we can see this, while their outdated views could not see it before it grew teeth. Whole different ball game.

I feel talking about any of this however is a waste of time as the propaganda the news and tv spews will create more and more disconnect from those that live in western countries to allow this to happen also.

TPTB love us arguing while they fu*k us.

What's hateful about wanting safety and protection from terrorists?

I think everyone here wouldn't give a damn about Muslims, if not for these extremists who just keep on killing innocent people, all over the world.

It is only natural for all of us to be frightened and to seek safety.

I honestly don't know what we can do in order for the attacks to stop. But what I do know, is we can't go on like this any longer.

It was good of ISIS to wait until after the Euros don't you think...

Wouldn't have wanted to affect the economy and tourism.

No wait until after hundreds of thousands have left and then get back to work.

Bull#.

Of course they are chasing their own agendas too.

This is not hatred however, its just stabilising the wagons wheels before it cracks and crashes into the floor. Cannot balance the load if that happens.
