The title of this thread is that an AR-15 is not designed to kill. It isn't. It is a tool, period.

How many people can say that they would be willing to breach my property and go head to head with a Belgian Malinois?

Those are dogs... not guns.

I got money on my dogs....

Their sense of hearing is certainly better than that of an AR.

And for the record.... I will trust my life to my dogs before I trust it to my Government.

Well... yeah.
That sort of goes without saying. Unless you have the FBI in your back yard. For some reason.

Hey, some people may think that's silly. But I've run across some badass ducks.

My ducks are some bad ass little dudes. The Belgians don't even screw with them. That is saying something....

I know.
Muscovies get all hissy and wing flappy and stuff.

Good thing they can't operate an AR.

Never actually raised ducks. I live by the water and they just sort of wander through the neighborhood. Some mallards , muscovies, and various combinations of the two, I think. Some of them look pretty weird.

I shot one recently. I'm not against guns, but there was no doubt in my mind what that thing was built for. Mowing stuff down. The user can define what stuff he or she would like to mow down. I don't ever see a hunter needing to obliterate varmint with a weapon such as this so I'm not sure what it's purpose is besides taking a bunch of people out. I have a bolt action. It fits under the category of tool because it legitimately is used for hunting. I know zero hunters who go out into the mountains to use their AR-15 as a tool. In fact, it's laughable to think it's the right "tool" for any hunting job. I know quite a few people who own one and they only use it like it's a big kids toy. It's not a tool. Some people setup targets and blast away for personal amusement while others use them for mass murder. The only other valid category is for warfare. Mass murder, personal amusement, and war. Never is an AR-15 a tool.

Save yourself. They are great, but horribly messy.

The messy part I know. I have a tub fountain by my front door. They like to hang out there.
Drives my golden retriever nuts, for some reason.

Um...especially when they are carrying an AR 15.

Who hunts with them?
They are illegal to hunt deer in Colorado for THAT reason...in fact .223 is too hot for small game and not strong enogh for big game ,a very poor hunting round.

An AR-15 is a tool. That is what it is.
I can kill you at 1500 yards with an AR-15.
Guess what? I can kill you at a half mile with a .308.
My Belgians can kill you at a full run in about 10 seconds.

There is no pride in that.
