I'm the exact opposite lol! I can't ever keep a straight face when trying to joke around.

Beards help, as does a pair of shades and a bit of scar tissue. Everyone thinks you are totally serious all of the time

Never gonna make it doing stand up though

I already stated - there's no harm being done to me, I'm quite resolute in my convictions. But others are easier to manipulate - like kids.

It's that other people thing again I was talking about.

you seem to only think of issues from a personal and quite selfish perspective. Pretty sad.

I love how he doesn't understand that by saying 'That's reality' he's contradicting himself. The reality is that we know there is a physical difference between the brain of a Transgendered person, and the brain of a person born to their biological sex. The reality is that these people have been using the restroom of their identified gender for a very long time. The reality is that wether you like it, or not the laws on this have already been established with equality in mind. I suggest he take his own advice, and 'get with the program' lol.

It's not about the bin, it's about what the bin symbolises.

It's one single thing of many, you deliberately refuse to see the point because you simply do not want to.

The bin would be another point for the deluded, and serve only to validate the idiocy even further.

No, the bin serves as a symbol only for you. The bin is another nail in the coffin of the paradigm you desperately claw at and grasp for purchase. It's dying. Every generation has people like you, people who won't adjust to new information, whose grandchildren are embarrassed to bring their friends to meet.

It's not too late. You can still check out WPATH or one of the many trans resources you refuse to objectively look at. Because if you did, you would have to face that discomfort. And it takes energy to do that and you are tired. I understand. But it's still your choice.

"Pretend" sex?
How insensitive.

What else do you call it when a biological man claims to be a woman? I think "pretend" was kind of the nice way of putting it. I tend to use the word "disguised" and others use words like insane, mentally ill, etc. They all fit.

As an Aside:

His examples aren't even valid:

Example 1 "Cousin smoking around Nieces, and Nephews"- These are not your kids (unless you have guardianship over them) to decide what someone can, or can't do around them. You assume a right to them that you simply do not have.

Example 2 "Little Sister" again, unless you have guardianship over her, it's not your child, thus you have no right to the choice of allowing, or not allowing someone to speak to her on any topic. Again, you assume a right to them that you simply do not have.

What's your point? Some peoples brains tell them they are a cat...or did you miss that part?

the brain, the mind - isn't perfect, nor is our knowledge or understanding of it.

Just because they detect something...doesn't mean it's right, does it? By that logic we might aswell tell people with a degenerative brain disease...yeah, you were born that way. It's normal, live with it.

IT has already been proven that there is more to it than just thought. If you can't read the links provided, please just leave the conversation. You're not adding to it, and only making yourself look unintelligent.

Seriously, it's not a virus. You can't catch gay or transgender or something.

How come Scots don't all need to live as women when their national dress is a flipping skirt?

Kids'll do what kids do. My mum was a single parent, an arch feminist and I never grew up hating myself or my gender.

You really think if you'd have seen a TG person when you were younger you'd be living as a female now?

You gonna love your kid any less if they are LGBT? Really?

Burden of Proof: You made the claim that some people's brain tells them they are a cat, please, back that claim up. Illustrate that the BRAIN is telling them they are a cat. Otherwise, your claim remains unsubstantiated, and can't be used as a valid argument.

You are right, it is dying.

I don't think it should.

I think we're headed down a very dark, horrible road.

You might be glad of the mass corruption that's going on, you've bought into it hook line and sinker.

I have not...so what?

Also, keep in mind, posting a video of a girl who thinks she is a cat, IS NOT proof of her brain telling her that. Please, supply brainscans of the lady in question; otherwise all you have is an Unsubstantiated Claim, as opposed to my claim, which was backed by -real- evidence.

I am Scottish, it's not a skirt.

Wearing a skirt doesn't make you a woman, it never will.

Dont you people get tired of crying about this crap? It seems you are making an issue affect you which otherwise wouldnt. As to the OP story, i call BS all day. No lawsuits will happen because of prostate cancer and this lmao.

Where is it written that something has to personally affect a person before they can comment or have an opinion? Is that some new Obama law that he has illegally written or is it simply the mantra of a group of people whose "facts" can't bear the scrutiny of discussion or debate?

No...LGBT has no affect on me personally. I don't even care what that group chooses to do among themselves. But guess what? I'm STILL allowed to have an opinion and a view. I'm even allowed to view others through my morals. Part of that is called freedom, the other part of that is called being human. We judge...get over it.

What or who substantiates your claims?

Do I know them? Are the credible?

Have you fact checked everything they've presented?

Or did you just read enough to observe that it confimed your suspicions and thus assume it's true?

didn't we think some 100 or so years ago that you could tell everything about someone's personality by studying the shape of their skull?

We know that's crap now, don't we?

Present your evidence...your oh-so credible evidence.

Nobody thinks it should when it is time to adjust to modernity. I empathize with you on that and I've seen it with my grandparents' generation with racism, etc.

All I know is that when I reach an age where there is science out there, saying things that go against what I used to think and that the new generations of people are doing things I have been taught are wrong... you know what I'll do? I will try to understand. And if I can't understand?

I will step aside.

Because I see what happens when people don't and I don't want to be among those remembered for their harmful ignorance. I will seriously just step aside.

If you are treating someone "like a woman," how do you tell them they have prostate cancer? Technically, you can't because women, real ones, do not have prostates.

They can still be treated.

All that's being asked here is for the preferred pronouns to be used.

It's not a lot to ask to refer to someone as the pronouns that match the gender they are living as.

Says who? I would think it would be insulting to that person to be treated for prostate cancer. I know it is insulting to tell them they aren't a woman? I know they get all upset when you point out the facts about biology. Why would this person even accept prostate treatment when they refuse to accept that they are a man and will always be a man?

Maybe these people need to address their schizophrenia first...then we can call them what they are and they can be treated for and based upon what they are.

I already have, as have several others. I'm not going to repost it. Someone else may, but i'm not. It's on you to go back, and read. However, all I see is more Shifting the Spotlight. Back up your claim, or leave it Unsubstantiated. Your choice.

I get yuour point - some of the older generations in my family held inherently racist beliefs.

But they didn't push it on us, I remember once my grandad made a remark and my mother scolded him for saying it in front of us...and I was a teenager at the time.

That's the difference here.
