Funny you should say that, the north owned just as many as the south and only offered freedom so they would have a new tax payer base and more meat for the grinder. Brilliant isn't it? Did you know the pro black movement started as a subversion tactic by the soviets in 1948? How else to better foster communism in the enemy than with a demographic long since disenfranchised with its parent nation? As a matter of speaking freely, most pro black movements have been fostered and put on with a white person behind it, and a black figure head to make others think its legit.

The Civil War was fought over banks. Slavery was the excuse. 1863 brought two acts into motion that changed the course of our country. It led to the creation of the Federal Reserve.

You're half right, yes it was dependent, and yes it was stated in the secession declarations, yet taken out of context as slaves were property, and the real issue was about taxation of property and goods produced by the southern states.

In that slaves were property is what that means.

Free slaves would have to be paid a wage, were they can pay taxes...this was the true purpose of ending slavery. As property they were not able to exploit the base for revenue....and now they can.

The black power movement, and civil rights for women and then blacks was for progressive control. Conservatives do not control the textbooks. It is simply true. The issue now is that many minorities are finally waking up and realizing they are voting for the ones who control them the most...but that is for another thread....

I think that's the side issue or one of many confusing issues all at once but the primary reason for the Civil War was Slavery. Slavery was at the root of unfair labor costs that the south had over the north, It was primary in the new states being brought into the union and having to decide if they were going to be pro or anti Slavery with ruffians being brought in to drive home the point, Slavery was front and center in the Abolutionist movement gaining traction in the North primarily from freed slaves, Slavery was at the heart of "States Rights" Issues...did they have the right to have slaves or not. Slavery was front and center in many of the letters of states Leaving the Union. You can google them it's right in there. Slavery was on Lincoln's mind even before he took office and his adversaries knew it. AGain Slavery was the key source of every underlying cause of the civil war.

Progressive control? I think you mean recognition as equals as guaranteed by the US Constitution or is that document an effort in Progressive control as well?

I don't recall science textbooks teaching creationism in school, maybe I'm mistaken; evolution must be a conservative thing.

As for the photo, it's sad the military even had to 'investigate', how much tax payer money was wasted over a benign photo? Can't believe people get their panties in a bunch over this, talk about thin skinned.

You make me laugh man and thats a good thing. There is nothing conservative about textbooks. They are all liberal wishy washy. This is why my kids go to private school and I make them read history books printed before ww2. It is amazing all the facts and gems that you learn. Modern Day textbooks are ridiculous.

Recognition as equals? Blacks were given the right to vote by the Progressive left to allow the continuation of exploitation of the black race. Democrats wanted it for control and Republicans had been fighting for it for years to simply give equal rights. I mean, MLK was a Republican so they were not that bad.
