You can check out the link in my post above for starters.
It is from March.
As mentioned, it did not start coming up until it became clear that he had a good chance of winning.
But he has been saying it for months.

And again - please listen carefully...
The Primary Campaign is NOT the same as the General Election Campaign.

He NEVER said that he would pay for the General Election Campaign himself.
He really does not have a choice about that.
The Republican party would probably not even take him if they could not raise money for the campaign.

Please, think about the facts.

He's not going to pay for anything himself. He loaned the money to himself for the Primaries. He's paying himself back with the money he's getting from the General Election Donations.

HE'S NOT FUNDING ANYTHING HIMSELF.

And I bet Trump will be returning some donations from lobby/special interests.

Watch and see.

It will be a great campaign slogan to bern Hillary.

I thought the party now controls the campaign funds. It's no longer "his campaign".

You are probably wrong.

I think candidates and nominees make the "accept" / "reject" decisions.

Probably?

That's a change in your usual, so sure of yourself style.

Clearly, even you have your doubts about this.

Even more interesting.

Paying for someone to rule you... Royal families do that.

lol great Republic you got there.

As opposed to Hillary who has had royal families paying for her campaign so she can rule us?

You do know that is what the Clinton Foundation partially was - a way to launder money from foreign leaders.

well it depends on whether the "contribution" is from a private party as opposed to that general fund.

Seeds of doubt have been planted.

It will only get better from here.

Trump's flip-flop complete.

And nobody talks about the Democrats plan to raise over $2 billion for the general election... how do you expect to compete with that?

Hillary’s $2.5 billion obscene fundraising goal

Hillary's dash for cash

And nobody talks about Trump receiving more free media coverage than any other candidate. $2 billion worth.

Over the course of the campaign, he has earned close to $2 billion worth of media attention, about twice the all-in price of the most expensive presidential campaigns in history. It is also twice the estimated $746 million that Hillary Clinton, the next best at earning media, took in. Senator Bernie Sanders has earned more media than any of the Republicans except Mr. Trump.

I guess it's Trumps fault that he gets the highest ratings and pundits have been making a living over the last 10 months by trying to smear him 24 hours a day.

Megyn Kelly should give Trump half of her salary, since she practically made a career out of attacking him.

Indeed. But that is how he will compete with the Left.

He will get Billions from the RNC and suck off the tit of the MSM.

He is establishment now. He's all set.

Here's a "crystal ball" story about Hillary and a campaign refund....

ironic.

Hillary Clinton campaign refunds Ed Pawlowski donation

Six days after the FBI raided Allentown City Hall, Democratic presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton returned a $1,000 contribution from Allentown Mayor Ed Pawlowski's campaign committee.

The donation, made May 5 by Friends of Ed Pawlowski, was refunded July 8 by Hillary for America, according to Federal Election Commission records.

Trump's free media attention is because of all the heart-attack haters.

No one in their right mind would liquidate 2 billion dollars in assets to run for president.

That's crazy to even assume.

The funny part is, the Trumpophobes are the reason why he has gained so much free publicity. I mean introvert talks about him so much he is essentially campaigning for him.

Comments from Trump campaign confidante Roger Stone:

Donald Trump knows Wall Street will play both sides – why shouldn’t he take their money to beat Hillary?
They are going to find out you can’t co-opt Donald Trump – he’s his own man with his own nationalist views. He can’t be bought. He can’t be bullied.
No one cons Donald Trump. He knows the elites but knows their policies have destroyed the country.
He’s a master. He’s using them – they aren’t using him.
Trump needs $1B to beat Hillary. He’ll take their money but he won’t change his views on America, sovereignty, trade, NATO, or his commitment to make hedge fund managers pay their fair share of taxes.

Mr. Trump is indeed a Shrewd Businessman .
