Who has the experience in war in the middle East?

That will be one of the deciding factors IMO.

That would be the Bush family. Correct...that will be one of the deciding factors. Good call!!

Trump's not dumb by any stretch. He's going to tap people who are "the best" to be in any advisory or cabinet position, and I'd not be at all surprised to see *some* of them pop into the conversation before the November elections. Rice wasn't a decision maker when we entered Iraq, so she's insulated against the majority of the criticism surrounding the war. She was a decision maker when the troop ramp up was decided on, and Obama himself has praised that often, so she can work that o her full advantage.

Foxnews is reporting Cruz suspended his campaign.

Did e suspend it or did he end it?

If he suspended it he retains his delegates.

Do you not think 2 billion in free press is a light hand? How about the pres not calling Trump out on his waffle about the wall? Lastly there is a reason Trump wouldn't debate Cruz one on one! He is ill equipped to articulate much past "make america great again" and "its going to be great, fabulous, etc"

I'd like to see him pick someone who is a conservative, a real one, to balance out his ticket since I'm pretty sure he's tacking moderate.

Christie would do better as an AG. Kasich would be a deal breaker. I don't trust Rubio on immigration and it would weaken Trump on that issue. Ernst ... maybe ... I would have to look a little more at her. Rick Scott, no, I see Common Core still in Florida.

All of these would be horrible back stabbers.
Trump wouldn't last one year.

He should go off the grid with his pick for VP. Go for Ventura!

The media held back on Trump? Light hand? Seriously?
Parallel universe perhaps?

Glenn Beck has said the media will unload on Trump this summer, too.

I know, I thought he was nuts. Maybe sirlancelot is a Beck fan?

Are you serious! You're gonna sit there and tell me I live in a political bubble of only ATS?

You're gonna tell me Sanders hasn't been attacked by the media and the conservatives for being a socialist?

You're a Trump supporter aren't you?

That's a good point- who do all the upset Cruz supporters get behind now?

Surely not Kasich?

Any Cruz supporters care to oblige with this answer?

Trump. In for a penny, in for a pound. I'd pretty much resigned myself to this alternative.

First you try to tell me Sanders hasn't been demonized for being a Democratic Socialist and now you're telling me I haven't read the thread?

I didn't realize that 'demonized' was another term for 'self described'

I don't understand that attraction to things like this.

It's like the leftists who persisted in rubbing it in when Obama won. Ok, he won. Go enjoy that; there's no reason to be poor winners.
