Moving from our dependence on fossil fuels is a step. I don't think cap and trade is the end all be all, but could be a patch work with the right people heading it. Which I know made you cringe, and I agree. Just talking in a vacuum here.

Oh no! Trump doesn't believe in climate change!!!??!! Run fer the hills! ...But I bet if you ask him, the "climate" has changed a lot of times. .. Which it has. Drink water! You sound dehydrated.

I never saw the reason for a consensus on climate change.

Just do it. Do whatever needs to be done, save the planet and be done with it. You have never needed our okays.

We're 20 trillion in debt now. I mean, how much would it cost to save the Earth?

What's your solution for saving Earth?

Bernie or Hillary of course!

Hillary will close all the coal mines and plants, Bernie will just tax them out of business.

Sounds like a plan!

Imo, carbon taxes are a way for the elite to drive guilt in the masses for the goal of acerting control with out the need for a Sun god . No beheading and no temple sacrifice anymore.

Politician points at Sun. " You've made the gods angry "

subject " what must I do?"

Politician. " Pay with your livelihood"

YouTube suspiciousobservers before coming at me with global temperature data. Science is fun

Hopefully this embeds. Testing the links.

I found this video very informative. And the videos that come after this including the Gavin Schmidt "debate".

Who cares?
It is what it is.
We have no choice. Except, of course, to poison our kids and grandkids, all of the plants and animals on land as well as the ocean-dwellers....and cause an extinction level event/series of events to occur with no remorse. If you want......

We can cause one, or two, or three, or four. Or more than that....until every living thing is dead.
You're okay with that?

"Cost" is ink on paper - nothing more. The planet is a living thing - and all the living things upon it don't really care about digital numbers of bank accounts, Wall Street, and ink on paper that we call "money." Only greedy humans.

Then just do it.

You don't need a consensus. Do it, quit bitching about it and do it!

Funny how not how disagreeing with something and not wanting to be taxed to hell equates to wanting the planet and every one on it to die.

That's the thing that gets me on this issue.

If it's for the planet, then do it. But when was the last time the government gave a damn about how we felt about something before spending trillions to fix it?

In 2013....that's LATE 2013....a company called Ivanpah went online. It is now in trouble.

A solar power plant at the center of the Obama administration’s push to reduce America’s carbon footprint by using millions of taxpayer dollars to promote green energy has its own carbon pollution problem.

The Ivanpah plant in the Mojave Desert uses natural gas as a supplementary fuel. Data from the California Energy Commission show that the plant burned enough natural gas in 2014 – its first year of operation – to emit more than 46,000 metric tons of carbon dioxide.
www.pe.com...

Do you think Obama's crony corporations that invested in this company, Google and NRG, lost money? lololololol!!!! They are actually asking for federal taxpayer money to bail them out of their bad investment. In the interim, they got hundreds of millions, not to mention all the tax write offs and bennies from their "green energy" enterprise.

That money tree Obama uses for all his crony endeavors, travels, tango dances, and pet projects that line the pockets of his donors is The Taxpayer, a species of money tree that has been taken for granted for too long.

Go save it then.

Go.

Shoo.

Save the planet.

Oh. Okay then.

I'll keep trying. No guarantees - but, I'll keep trying.
Please stop stepping in front of me and trying to stop me and insulting me for that. It would help a great deal if you stop arguing with us (those who care) about it.

I'm a skeptic. Always going to be a skeptic.

Because I think this whole "movement" or religion is about control and higher taxes.

but hey!

You do what you gotta do!

Lol you should follow your own advice on this one

Arguing with the man made climate change crowd is like trying to get Westboro Baptist to host a gay wedding. You'll just drive yourself crazy.

Its like talking to a wall. No matter what points you make it will always be spun as your a Nazi planet killer with these leftist.

DB, do you pay federal income taxes? I'm assuming....yes.

Then, whether you wanted to or not, you have put money in the plate of the Church of Climatology.

They took it and gave it to Google, NRG, Solyndra, and here is a list of other crony green energy companies that have failed or are faltering all on taxpayer subsidies:

dailysignal.com...

But, remember, the guys running these failures got their big paychecks anyway, failing or not, not to mention all the tax bennies, and I'll bet a lot of it went back into donations to their fav politician.

It's very sad that actual science, that can be verified by data and statistics, is considered to be nothing more that a "religion" by those unable and unwilling to understand real science.

That is the same mindset that burned people at the stake because science was nothing more than witchcraft.
