The poster above me jogged my memory.
Years ago when my Dad had passed I was going through some things and ran across some old paper money and postcards that had never been postmarked. I searched them up and saw that they were collectible.
I placed them on ebay along with some old metal toys, and star wars figurines, etc. I guess things Dad had just held on to since I was a youngin'.
They fetched us some decent cash. One of the postcards sold for around $72 or so. I spent about 3 months or so unloading all of the stuff around the world.
I kept the prettier ones or the ones that held some sort of emotional value to me personally.
I made a pretty decent penny.
So, perhaps you have some stuff just lying around that you may not realize is valuable to someone else?
"One man's trash is another man's treasure" and all that...

Do you have an equity in the house?
Could you release that and stay in it for a bit to cover you whilst you are looking for work, and if you sell it it will just wipe the mortgage and you rent?
