You are correct, I made an error in my statement, sometime's a nations law's SHOULD be disobeyed, at the nuremburg war crime's trials' the excuse "I was following my orders" was found to be inadequate as a defence, we are each of us responsible for our own conduct, this girl did perfectly correctly, her only crime was carrying a device which is not legal in that country and which could also have been used offencively but in her defence it was a non lethal device (Substance) and it was carried on her person at a time when woman are afraid as there are rising sex attacks upon them from the imported Islamic radical's and other's whom are unleashing this new and drastically under reported wave of terror upon europe, so was this guy an immigrant/refugee or a terrorist as not all forms of terrorism are lethal and these sex attack's are Terrorising the nations that have let these wolves in.

If there is any common sense they should throw the case out and throw the sex attacker out after he has served his sentence preferable in the very lonely inmates section of the prison.

Here's the rub. If one's core belief is, you cannot judge people/cultures that's different then yours.
Then when stuff like this happens, one either has to admit that their core believes are wrong or just ignore the issues.....

Never knew peeper spray was illegal in them parts. As protection, its probably pretty effective in stopping an assailant, though I heard a few times dudes just still went on after being hit by it and did serious damage. But for stopping rape attempts should be pretty effective, if nothing more then getting away. But only if there not in to close range and likely not on you already. Would not trust it in close range.

As far as a damage weapon. I think a sharpened pencil can do much more damage and even kill as apposed to peperspray. That and it depends on the situation as some people are so out of it or high on who knows what that it has little to no effect and most especially if there violent.

As per say the vid bellow, don't know what the guy is on, I have dealt with people out of there minds and when they get violent really even knocking teeth out would not do much to deter them, chocking them out is the only option to a semi peaceful end, peperspray would just make them swing or shoot wild in such situations, likely making things more unpredictable most especially if weapons are involved.

Don't know what the guy in the vid is on or what is wrong with him, but they tazed him and pepersprayed him even got the ol extendo stick still and wack... and nothing. Its a good thing he is in a more passive state, now if he was violent and had a weapon then this would have been more crazy.

In all peperspray being banned for protection is kind of silly. But hey, try bearspray if that's not banned out there. And if officials or police say something just say you got attacked by a wild animal and had to defend yourself. After all is that not what bearspray is for, technically its more for protection against wild animals, I think you may be able to wiggle that in any court of law that an attemptive rapist can be considered a wild animal. So therefore its perfectly legal.

I mean being charged a fine for possessing peperspray is silly, much less for using it when assaulted. And bearspray is not as effective as peperspray, because a charging bear is not as potentially dangerous as a charging human. I mean a charging bear is only around 700 pounds and will likely rip you apart at leisure, but a human who knows what kind of crazy they are, or what weapons they have on there person. So knowing this the wise makers of bearspray made it less potent then peperspray.

I think they made bearspray not near as strong as peperspray but it should do the trick and at the least for that loophole in said bizarre no peperspray law, you know, just say you got attacked by a wild animal, I mean whats the difference?

But still a sharpened pencil beats them all, I mean its inconspicuous, and one quick stab in the neck most especially in the right area and end of story. However not many people are proficient in using sharpened pencils or have practiced with them it takes skill and many years of training to use one, so bearspray is more easy go to type of protective or deterrent and also it would have a longer range then a pencil would and seeing women are bound to be less in the strength department, it may be very effective but not at close range for them. However bearspray as good deterrent as any, for both bear or the occasional rapy human.

my friend had trouble with people following her to her car when she worked at a local hotel as night time clerk. she was scared of firearms so i got her a neck knife a can of pepperspay and a small stun gun that hadc a 50,000 volt kicker that was also a flashlight a guy followed her and the minute she sparked the stun gun he ran da other way screaming bloody murder according to her he didn't get closer than 20 feet from her but he heard and saw that crackle and that was it. and yes all of that would be considered concealed weapons but i would rather she get a ticket than raped or murdered.

Agreed. Common sense should be on the side of the woman, I would hope.

That said, what is legal and what should be seem to part company in the face of money and agendas. I've fought this in my own small way. Often the response is that I must be nuts. Perhaps. The jury is out on that one.

As the mother of a daughter who was sexually assaulted by my own country's immigrant group, I feel nothing but sympathy. I fight my own racism ,and often lose, when I think on it. I'm white, she's white. As much as I intellectually understand good comes from all walks, I still feel the pull of us vs them.

Women should be able to defend themselves. If it was my daughter, I'd arm her with anything I could, laws be damned. Whoever the attacker.

This is what will start to happen in the U.S too if guns are forbidden. You get attacked/assaulted and you defend yourself with a gun, you go to jail instead. The criminal most likely had one too but will get away with it.

It already does. I won't go into detail, but here in AZ, I knew of an elderly blind man who made a lucky shot against a home intruder who was jailed back in 2001 for protecting himself/his property.

If that was 2001...in Arizona... Imagine other places.

I don't know what happened to him, but my guess would be he spent his last years behind bars for the simple act of self-defense.

Do what ever it takes. I can not emphasize enough that women need to learn self-defense.

Learn to watch your surroundings. Do no act nervous, or insecure...if you act like prey, prey you will be. Awareness is all.

That's why if you are going to fight a criminal, especially in your own home, make sure he leaves in a body bag, if it goes that far.

After that? The story is all yours.

In public? Disengage, get away, if at all possible. If not, kill if at all possible. Take your chances with a jury. If there is only one narrative, your chances would seem to go up.

If this case goes before a jury, there is little chance she'll go to jail, or even face a fine.

Seeing as how poor and inadequate many judges and magistrates are nothing would surprise me. In a world with common sense it is obvious she was defending herself but when a agenda needs to be pushed all bets are off as to what could happen. I have seen people walk free with a stack of evidence against them that says otherwise, I have also seen people sent down with zero evidence and one witness statement that is shacky at best.

The powers at be do not want anyone to have a real way to defend themseleves and self defence can only go so far in a situation where there are a number of attackers. Most European law says you can defend yourself with proportionate force but that is the issue what is proportionate to one person is extreme for another and so forth. I imagine rape is about as horrific act as you could have the mis fortune of being the victim off. My common sense says the girl was well within her right to use a spray deterrent to defender herself and if I am honest if she had the right to carry a gun I would say if she had shot and killed him I would still firmly be on her side.

The fact she was going to be raped will most likely be overlooked by the fact she used a "weapon" and that sexual assault is no longer seen as a serious crime. It all stems back to very lax Policing and a tolerant approach to sentancing.

Juries are generally, though not always, smarter then people give them credit for.

Overlooked? Not if her lawyer is even remotely competent. That's all the trial should be about.

You my friend speak totally off topic but since you took the time to enter this thread I will answer you.
Remember the Enid Oklahoma foot ball star who turned cop by the name of Holtzclaw (use your search engine). He faces 36 counts including rape, sexual battery and forcible oral sodomy. One girl was 17 years old..

He is just one of 550 that were found to have committed inappropriate acts while on duty to include... you get the picture ? All told about 1000 officers since 2009 until 2014 lost the badges and many went to jail. So maybe if someone says I have been raped it is better to take a few swabs of the areas affected to see if there is any truth to be found .

For all those who actually had something constructive to add to the thread Thank you; there is enough outrage to go around several times IMO.. It is hard to be surprised anymore when you read some of this stuff.. But I still am occasionally to the point of just wanting to go hide in a cave someplace to get away from all the well meaning idiots who are destroying Europe along with other countries to follow. .
