TBH the situation of women in particular "not" being allowed to carry any real item they can use to defend themselves with is something that needs to be looked at as the rules of the game are changing.

A few years ago it was a pervy dude trying to get his rocks off showing himself in public that many women would confess to having seen but the level of unwanted (physical) approachs in areas of high "refugee"/migrant population is troubling.

I was working in a place called Camden last night that is a hip part of London that many of you may well be familar with, anyway there was approx 3-4 large gangs of mainly what appeared to be somalian youths or guys in their early 20s making some really uncalled for approaches on women and it would more than likely be the same here if they defended themselves either with a spray, weapon or fist..

I know it can be easy to say things on here regarding this current situation but honestly you need to live and work in a area that is being overrun to really take in what is happening across europe and the worst thing is the local population have zero back up from the authorites and have zero power to do anything.

Wonder how much of what is going on is being reported to the locals ? Must not stir the pot or let people plan to defend themselves. With what ?? dunno... Martial arts and a 100 pound woman versus a 200 pound man might work in the movies but seldom does a real conflict as described work to the woman's advantage. A few years ago a guy broke into a nurses home wanting to rape her. After he hit her a couple of times she acted like she was unconscious . As he was getting ready to do the deed she managed to grab his dangling participles and with a twist and a tug (even though he hit her again) she managed to get complete control of the situation and totally defuse the hard time she was facing. Called the cops and when they arrived the dude was crying and begging for mercy for like a snapping turtle she would not let go; she obviously knew what she was doing.. Great story if it is true and my recollection is correct.

I am presently in a Buddhist country and they are some of the most laid back people you will ever meet... However if someone tried this around here I have no doubt the villagers would capture and tear the perp limb from limb..

When the police showed up the would just haul the body off to be cremated. Sometimes there are advantages to not being so civilized..... If you give up all your rights to self protection to a government that will show up sometime after the crime is committed... Then I guess you get what you get.... I do expect a few changes in Europe over the next year or so.. Maybe some changes bigger than we can comfortably imagine no matter where we live..

She won't go to jail the only witness fled the scene and I seriously doubt he will go to the police.

Someone over there ought to start up a GoFundme account on her behalf.

They can also make her the spokesperson and use some of the money raised to oust those who make these arcane laws...

I see what you mean however when she told her story and admitted she had the spray she hung herself in the eyes of the law. No different than some other illegal device you admit to carrying when in police presence.

She did the right thing, they are doing the wrong thing but a country's law's have to be obeyed, shame the same rule is not applied to this rapist.

Personally I would have armed her with a taser and a pair of rubber soled shoes, tinkered with the taser adding a few more lithium batterys to raist the current and a step up transformer to increase the voltage, a couple of gigawats to his knackers should have been sufficiant to remove this blite from the gene pool once and for all.

I can't imagine the outrage that will be felt if this girl goes to trial for defending herself when some mongrel tries to pull her trousers down to rape her.

This is where I think we are in serious trouble because people will become furious and frustrated and then we will have fighting on our streets.

Unless something is done soon such as deporting these thugs our society and everything we have worked hard to achieve will be ruined and our country will become some third world war zone run by thugs

What really bothers me though is that it looks as though the funding for the police etc has been deliberately cut down to the bone to encourage and allow this situation to develop. I wonder if there is some intention by cameron and his ilk to bring in private security firms to run the country and the migrant pests will be the trigger that makes the public accept this new kind of order. No one can deny we are being made powerless to defend ourselves and if there are enough atrocities committed against our women and the weak, many will welcome what they see as an end to this situation.
