And you, as you've done all through this thread, are making excuses and blaming it on everyone else, but the ones responsible.
And There It Is!! " My feelings being hurt equate to a whole race being enslaved and tortured for generations". Good God! How do you get that entitled ego through doors?
You seriously compare being sick of a bunch of whiny children to racism? Wow. Just...fuc*** g.......wow.

But you're wrong. That's not whats going on here.
It's specifically directed at people born at a certain period in history, not young people in general.

No, you're wrong. It's directed at people who scream about how offended they are at every last little thing. And how their "right" to not be offended trumps everybody else's right to say nearly anything else they want.

Those people exist in every generation that's ever walked the earth. Millennials just happen to be the most vocal about it right now.

And they are by FAR the most vocal. And it's not even all of them. But it is very much a real "thing" with many of them.

Your efforts to get your point across may be lost on certain posters in this thread....some people just don't want to truly hear what others have to say...

Maybe if you had a plane fly a banner saying "IT'S NOT A GENERATIONAL ISSUE" it might work but I doubt it.

Victims and all.....

Good on the Doc, because quite frankly I'm over these precious self-entitled princesses and their feelings.

Grow a set, or piss off.

Yes, the institutions of higher learning are a major contributor to the problem, and whose fault is that, the train wreck from the 60s 70s generation who are running the show now.

Sadly they are going to have a rude awakening, and have to become tough, because things are not going to get better.

No mam. Besides, the Boomer's are retiring, and it's the Gen X'ers who are mostly teaching now.

Universities are where you learn to 'think'. To learn to really, really THINK, and you are still a kid, even at 20-22, you have to have lots of material to work with to let it all sort of settle in. A university is the best place to get that. (Well, to me.)

Storm, go back to that vid and watch the second half (I switched it out) and listen to what she says about these kids being so P.C. It's kind of interesting. : )

Do you realize the level of absurdity this debate is reaching?

If they are offended, so long as they can intellectually defend themselves after making a protest or complaint or whatever, surely its a good thing young people want to raise their voices about social issues?
If they can't defend tbemselves, and they are time wasters, that's a reputation they have to live down... But they must be heard, and never treated with prejudice simply because they're "millenials".

I just want you to be clear what a dangerously thin line some of you are treading here.

I posted this earlier...this particular poster will not be reasonable and read what others are trying to say.

He want's to be a victim of I don't know "generationalism" Man, I hope that doesn't become an actual PC term but, you know what I mean.

Some people just want to be a victim. I don't get it but, some people just do.

So many members have posted in this thread that it's not about a generation but, a mentality and some just won't accept it.

That's exactly why I refuse to respond to this member....it's not worth it.

I appreciate your efforts of trying to explain though.

My sons are 25 and 27. Both are well educated, employed in great jobs...moving up the corporate ladder and are completely self-sufficient. They work hard, pay taxes and take responsibility for their successes as well as their mistakes.

That said, I am in no way even remotely responsible for 'The Snowflake Generation'....I didn't raise those spoiled, self-entitled, 'special' little prince and princesses. I AM only responsible for raising my own kids.

Ohlord, yep they pulled out the old race card. Didn't you know it can literally be used for anything these days? This is how these kids are being taught, so they pull out that card every time the going gets too tough. Ridiculous, isn't it?

I don't disagree with the video,

My oldest is 47 and 46, youngest, 31 and 27,

And who taught the generation Xers?

It has been a downward spiral.

In many ways the change has been positive, but now some seem to have lost their identity and need to be the victim, consider the poor construction worker who had to scrape his flag off his bumper.

It will have to hit rock bottom before it balances out and people wake up.

Sorry but this kind of "suck it up and grow a pair" hounding of young people is a behaviour you will NEVER find me participating in.... EVER!

It makes me sick.

Lets move beyond YOUR Ill will towards "MY" generation... Please

Understanding the root cause of what you clearly identify as "misbehaviour" is the only way your ever going to A) come to terms with this B) solve, and you're never going to get there by hounding them for making these mistakes.

Take a chill pill David and think calmly about this.

Uh huh. wait till you grow up and have kids, if you teach them the ways of your generation, just watch it get way worse than you ever imagined. We'll see where you stand then, until then, youre just not mature enough to get it. I'm not saying all mellenials are whiney babies, but a whole crap ton are. My son is 21, wasn't raised that way. He's almost out of college and wow, the stories i have heard. I can't even bare watching channels like mtv etc, they have all gone insane.

Up until a certain point, we can blame the parents, but there is no excuse for college kids acting the way they do now.

I hope I don't even live to see the next gen because I just can't imagine things being much worse than they are now.

It still baffles me that some people (actually just one) are still making this all about ONE GENERATION...lol

It's NOT about just the most prevalent generation at all!

I can't understand why some keep trying to make it about themselves and THEIR Generation. lol
