Can you imagine what the kids these crybullies raise are going to be like?

If we are lucky, they'll all rebel toward sanity.

They'll have a completely formed 'Nanny State' firmly in place to raise their kids for them.

Up until a certain point, we can blame the parents, but there is no excuse for college kids acting the way they do now.
No excuse. Perhaps not. Explanation! Ummm...

Let me know when your done stirring the pot.

I hope I don't even live to see the next gen because I just can't imagine things being much worse than they are now.
Oh trust me, with this kind of narcissistic attitude towards problems young people have, its not going to get any better.

Be realistic and explain just what exactly it is you want? All I see from you is a bunch of whining and blame games.

So again, be realistic, and find a solution for your ills instead of crying about how horrible your elders are. Do you want a lollypop? What?

Understanding the root cause of what you clearly identify as "misbehaviour" is the only way your ever going to A) come to terms with this B) solve, and you're never going to get there by hounding them for making these mistakes.

...and you just accidentally identified the real problem here. The majority doesn't "come to terms with" the few. The few STFU and figure out how they can work within the world around them. That's called life. Expecting the world to accommodate you or feeling your specialness should be adjusted to by others is the type of entitlement folderol that cannot be tolerated any further.

The WORLD needs to grow a pair, and soon. The proper reaction to most of these now too frequent grievances, hurt feels, and accusations of "micro aggressions" involves those of us with the gumption extending the pointer finger of our dominant hand towards the individual experiencing beef and, while continuing this pointing gesture at them, bursting into loud, uproarious laughter at them. I do the same when my children throw a tantrum. It is incredible how effective it is when one individual does it, it is downright frightening how effective it is when a couple of other parents take the hint and join in. Tantrums end immediately, butthurts are recognized as being impudent and foolish, and the self centered behavior leading up to the mockery is rarely repeated. There are a metric crap ton of teens and early 20s children roaming around this world who need to be laughed at and embarrassed by themselves.

What problems? How are they worse than the ones I grew up with? Or the one's my parents grew up in.

I mean seriously...how are they even remotely comparable to growing up during the Depression? Or in the Dust Bowl? Watching a loved cousin die of what amounts to Black Lung from inhaling the ever present dust? My Dad did. My Mom growing up in a single mother household in a time when that was seriously not cool.

So, please, how are your generations little problems worse than those? Or in the South during the Civil War, and its aftermath?

My generation that grew up with the ever present spectre of Global annihilation?

Go ahead, tell me how yours are worse.

Every generation gets to deal with the problems that the previous generations leave us. So? What's new?

What I see from all too many of the more recent generations, which includes far, far too many of my own, is a lot of whinging, and complaining.

Suck it up, sunshine. It only gets better when people decide to fix it.

Meh, youre just a horrible mean old person. At this rate this new generation will equate 'old people' and their actions to slavey and racism. Sad thing is, I'm not joking.

What i want, not for me, but for all, is for the conversation to move away from reactionary diatribe, towards useful insight and progressive understanding.

But you know, when you are done... I wouldn't want to interrupt you in anything... I almost forgot, adults are talking, cough horse, cough #

I'm not old. I am OK being considered a horrible mean person, but not old.

Many here, have been trying to provide you with 'useful insight', but your inability to not be offended has clouded your ability to listen or understand.

As far as 'progressiveness' goes, if it weren't for the self-righteous 'progressive' (more like oppresive) mindset, we may not even be having this convo right now.

Good day and good luck.

Yet we are none the wiser about why society has these problems.

That doesn't qualify as useful imo.

It won't happen...this has been going on with this member pretty much through the entire thread.

I think it was on page two that he was called out as being a troll...hasn't proven otherwise yet. what are we on?

Page 7 now?

Case in point.

This conversation has become so divisive we can't even agree who has what problem let alone why and what can be done about it.

Screw The Great Depression, WWII, Vietnam, Mutually Assured Destruction (MAD), 9/11... What about those 'fear and angst' inspiring confederate flag bumper stickers and sh*t swastikas?

He's a troll...plain and simple. Look at how much dialogue has been wasted on this fool.

It's pointless to feed him.
