I agree though with you...this shouldn't be about gun control. Let's just make sure this guy is either dead or in custody.

White House now speaking about the incident and Gun Violence is what they are starting with.

Actually, I'm not sure if that was live or if it was previously recorded.

I watched the footage over again.

That only words I have are what a coward. Shooting unarmed people with their backs turned at point blank.

This isn't a shooting it's an execution.

Ah, that's why I thought he was white. I have to look really, really hard at his profile picture to see that he isn't.

This is sad, and my condolences to the families and friends of those involved.

It sounds like the shooter left A LOT of information, so that is a good thing to answer why he did it eventually, if he does not survive the self inflicted gun wound.
I hope he survives though so he can answer for his crime.

It looked like a white guy in the fallen camera shot, someone earlier posted a picture from Alison's FB page that resembled the shooter.

watching CNN and they were talking about the guy was fired due to anger issues.
they say that in feb 2013 they were so concerned about his anger that they cleared the news room and had the police escort him while he cleaned his desk out and escorted him out of the building.

if true he's been pissed and stewing about this for a for over two years.

So, my take after skimming over it is that he complained to management about racial comments he heard in the workplace and was soon after fired.

From what I can gather, a similar situation ( minus the lawsuit ) led to his termination from WDBJ - and the female reporter apparently was his replacement there, or was hired shortly after his termination... still digging for exact details.

I just saw the video for this shooting and boy does it look weird!

First off the guy just casually walks to where the interview is taking place, he stands there for a while, no one bats an eyelid, he pulls out the gun and points it at Alison but doesn't shoot... again not one of them saw the gun from the corner of their eye (which I find near enough impossible) then he withdraws gun for what must have been 7 seconds or so before pointing at Alison and this time pulling the trigger... he hits her 3 times... she runs off and then it goes dark and hear another several shots fired!!

They were doing a live TV broadcast during the entire event. They were on live TV. That explains why they were not paying attention to surroundings.
