He made 15k from the other lawsuit. Claimed someone called him a 'monkey' and another reporter said not to talk using 'Ebonics'.

Cowardly prick...

It's cool.

I hope he's in custody. Death is too quick.

This is an extremely disturbing and unsettling situation. My heart goes out to the families of the victims.

Thanks lets see how long that stays up…

Got a link to his "Manifesto" or dash cam of police chase?

The TV station says they turned the fax over to law enforcement.

And yea, the police have already uploaded all their dash cam footage to YouTube for your viewing pleasure so hop to it!

Wild Goose chase? If you have it, link it for everyone…

Puhleeese?

Oh, I guess VSP hasn't heard that you should upload your dashcam video immediately following the conclusion of a chase so the unwashed masses can feed their own interest. Evidence be damned, we want carnage!

They were doing a live TV broadcast during the entire event. They were on live TV. That explains why they were not paying attention to surroundings.

Can always see things in the corner of your eye... no matter what you are doing. The guy was by the side of them too, not exactly behind them and they were looking ahead... only the cameraman had his back to him.

the woman being interviewed should have definately seen him.

Very sad.

People with anger issues like this shouldn't be allowed guns, it's just too easy for them to to kill people in a fit of ultimate rage and then themselves. Mental health is more of an issue than the guns, but people can be pushed to lose it at any time that is how our society is pushing people. People had guns fifty years ago and you didn't see this type of thing happening, people aren't coping well these days.

This is really terrible, this guy is going to murder these people because he had not been hired, and because he felt they had discriminated against him:

How can you open the lawsuit in Florida, if the employment site NewsStudio, was in Virginia?

I've just come home & seen this on the news. Absolutely terrible thing to happen to anyone. I see the actual video is currently doing the rounds at various places. It's not something I want to see to be honest.

Thoughts & go out to those effected.

I just saw the video for this shooting and boy does it look weird!

Nothing weird about it at all. Everyone had their heads turned, or were focusing on the interview process.

Yes. Mental health is a major issue. Drug addiction (not recreational use) and gun violence are related to mental illness.

I don't know about you, but when I get into a TV show or movie I don't even know when other people come and go in and out of the room I'm in - provided that I have some expectation of other people being at home in general. Reporters, I would imagine, get a bit inured to the curious and hammy people trying to be close or to get into frame.

There are a lot of videos of people photo bombing in news reports, to the oblivion of the reporting crew.

Not to kick off the gun debate as that will come later. I believe that when you get to that level of anger take your pick. Knife, bat, screw driver, acid in the face. Something. None very good.

Feel for the families. Not a good situation.

The interviewer and Interviewee were to the side of him, not infront of him looking forward. As i said in my post above, the interviewee should definately have seen him out the corner of her eye when he points the gun at alison the first time but doesn't shoot... he is only a couple meters away pointing the gun

Next step would be to always send armed security with live reporting crews.
I guess.

Still doesn't address the mental health issues, though.

Buzz our way of life here in the USA needs to change fast. Mental illness and related issues are just a symptom of a bad MO.

The sad thing is most people are oblivious to our current destructive cycle of life.

Here is a link to the Discrimination Lawsuit that Flanagan filed in Florida in 2000.

Wow that is a federal lawsuit to boot.

And with the 11th circuit court of appeals, that is big stuff.

I wonder what the outcome was.

Looks like he tried and failed twice to initiate lawsuits based on discrimination.
Guy had a major ego on him if you saw any of his twitter pages.
Some people can't handle rejection - personally or professionally.
Filming yourself executing 2 people you hold a grudge against?
That's a whole new level of egotism.
This has NOTHING to do with gun control but everything to do with a sense of entitlement and bloated self-importance.

My condolences to the victims families and friends.
This was very close to home for me, I've watched the reporter that was killed many times.

I'm always aware!

I guess Reporters don't have very good 'Spatial' Awareness!

This is actually a racially-motivated hate crime. Would it not be if the shooter was white and he shot two black people? Of course it would be, and that is what the #BLM movement and Al Sharpton are for. But not here when it isn't convenient for their supposed "cause".

I have to agree.

Plus, the lady being interviewed doesn't really have a clear line of site of the shooter because the camera man is blocking him for the most part.

Plus, she was probably nervous as heck being interviewed live and was focused only on the reporter and what they were talking about.

We don’t need to see this video.

If you show this murder you’re playing into the hands of this madman

Why be so ghoulish

If wed ignore what the maniacs show then maybe they’d be less inclined to make such statements

Think of the families of these victims

For once eschew ones own blood lust to see real murder
