You are making a foolish decision to vote based on what a talk radio moron says. They are entertainers, that is all. That goes for Rush, Hannity, Sharpton, etc. Their job is to shock and get ratings, which then turns into revenue for their employers who are their advertisers. Period. They do not dictate national policy nor do they have as much influence on the workings of government.

Low info voters (maybe that is what you are and therefore you have a bigger problem that what I think) depend on these people to tell them what to think, how to vote, and when to be offended or outraged. If you are not one of the people who fall into this category then you should not conclude this guy speaks for conservatives everywhere. I am a bigtime conservative Republican but do not listen to any of these guys. I know what I believe and depend on the candidates to tell me what they think so I can make a decision.

As far as the comment about slavery, you may read my previous post that the 13th Amendment specifically allows for slavery for convicted criminals.

And of course, he's so "prominent" that no one outside of Iowa has even heard of him before today, too. I guess he has his bona fides with the left now.

I wonder why illegal immigration wasn't such a huge issue 4 years ago? Or 8 years ago?

I really struggle to see that it's become so bad so quickly. This has been an ongoing issue for many years, so now I wonder why illegal immigrants are now the "boogeyman".

I thought we were still being told to be afraid of Muslim people? Did I miss the memo or something?

What to say?...

So I think election season comes with a pandering competition of Potential Nominees saying things to appeal to their base...and then saying more extreme things to get attention amongst a field of nominees all saying the same thing...you get where I am going...you end up with someone like Donald Trump leading the field calling mexicans "murderers and rapists"..and proposing building a massive wall.

What else happens? All of that loud, extreme rhetoric emboldens people to say and do things that they might otherwise not say or do..

I'd like to say election season brings out both the best and worst in people...but honestly it's mostly the worse...

It has always been a big deal, and they aren't a "boogeyman". People are just reaching the tipping point of anger over the government not enforcing laws already on the books.

The reality is that something needs to get done on this issue, whether it is mass deportation, building a wall, amnesty, a path to citizenship, or a combination of those things.

We aren't being told to be afraid of Muslims, radical Muslims are trying to scare us. I don't really think it's working, but you are looking for conspiracies that aren't there.

What I don't Understand is if someone thinks like this, and says it is because we the working stiffs are screwed because we pay for the illegal comfort zone by our taxes,,, why doesn't he, Trump or Anyone besides ME !! Say STOP PAYING YOUR TAXES!!
I have, and am of course being ramroded by the man,, but if EVERYONE WHO IS P.O.ed about this quit paying their TAXES FOR JUST ONE YEAR,, it would be settled.

It is the TAXES STUPID,, you are not going to solve our screwed up immigration system by PAYING FOR IT!! STOP !!!

I am willing to go to poverty level at this point so as not to pay for all the crap our government steals from us to pay for,,, STOP PAYING TAXES WILLINGLY PEOPLE IS THE ONLY SOLUTION.

I've never heard of that radio host...

Who is referring to him as a kingmaker? Liberals? I don't think anyone in the conservative party thinks that of him. No doubt he will be portrayed as such in liberal media though. Obviously this guy is just an idiot.

Well, when one does it, it doesn't mean that's the party line. Just like when a Dem/Lib does something, that doesn't mean it's the party line.

What I will say is this:

There is *no* other country on earth that will reward people for committing a *felony* by entering the country illegally and then rewarding them for it.

I'm *all* for immigration, but do it under the law.

Note: The individual who said this, clearly was speaking on his own behalf, own opinion, and for anyone to paint an entire party due to what one person said...well, that's just downright silly.

We don't reward illegals. We also have a very real labor problem. In Georgia for example which cracked down very harshly on illegal immigrants they took far larger economic losses due to reduced productivity than they took when the illegals were working.

How do we fix that? Illegals are willing to work the fields for below minimum wage while Americans won't do it for $15 per hour. How much do you want to pay for your produce in order to make these jobs desirable?

Illegal Immigration is Free Market Capitalism overpowering government regulations. Labor demand and supply. The rest is just rhetoric.

To be blunt - I have to imagine if it wasn't for skin color that the GOP would be ranting about labor regulations killing capitalism and would be defunding the INS as the epitome of bureaucratic "over-regulation".

Curious why the right wing never demands the laws on the books be enforced when it comes to corporations polluting? Or banks defrauding people?

You would think rational people would be more concerned about whether or not they were drinking cancer juice instead of water than who was cutting their neighbors lawn?

Free Market Demand and Supply overpowering government regulations. A capitalistic win over government regulations.

If only they looked like "us" the GOP would be celebrating.

Right on. If everyone just stopped paying taxes all of American problems would be solved! Nothing good has ever come from taxes.

In a way alot of undocumented immigrants all ready are slaves in many ways. And from the looks of it middle class blue collar America is headed down the same path. At the end of the day these puppet politicians are just salesmen working for big corporate greed. This is why conservatives have ignored the immigration issue and frown on Trump. Because they want to import mexico slave labor.

Illegal Aliens are just the Alpha , the rest of us are the beta to slave labor.

The conservatives only purpose is to carry out the corporations demands while the corporations only purpose is to create profit by all means. And the liberals are also cogs in this well oiled machine wanting amnesty free health care and give them drivers licences. So the slaves can stay healthy enough to drive to the factory and make the company $ profits $ both parties work in tandem to ensure thier handlers profit margins keep souring.

I've seen it personally.

Someone who's 'undocumented' can get public assistance, with not much more than their word.

Someone who's a 'citizen' has to provide all the documents like SS#, BC, Proof of address and more.

Now if someone isn't here legally, how could public assistance be considered anything but a reward for breaking the law.
Many of those who immigrated here *illegally*, also work under the table, thereby keeping their money, tax free and they get assistance on top of that...it still costs us more than most would think for those 'cheap' laborers.

Nope still good with what I said 👍I believe in America for Americans and if you want to be one prove it.

New Colossus

Not like the brazen giant of Greek fame,
With conquering limbs astride from land to land;
Here at our sea-washed, sunset gates shall stand
A mighty woman with a torch, whose flame
Is the imprisoned lightning, and her name
Mother of Exiles. From her beacon-hand
Glows world-wide welcome; her mild eyes command
The air-bridged harbor that twin cities frame.
"Keep, ancient lands, your storied pomp!" cries she
With silent lips.

"Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed to me,
I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"

You know what is funny about this one is that you used a known "illuminati" symbol (assuming you believe in that sort of thing) to make a point about freedom or caring about the impoverished. Oh the irony, eff the statue of liberty it was a gift from french Masons who gives a eff.

The only thing you can get while being illegal is food stamps, and even those have a 6 month cutoff unless you give them some documentation of living expenses and income. They're not so much a reward either as a method of fighting crime. When people are hungry they'll do anything for a bit of money to buy food, giving food stamps out to anyone basically reduces break ins, thefts, and murders. It's much cheaper to prevent the crime than to recover from it afterwards.

assuming you believe in that sort of thing

You shouldn't assume. I can't think of anything more offensive than your sentiment that "America is only for American".

America represents 200 years of constant global immigration, making this country what it is today, for better or worse.
