Look, you think abortion is immoral. I don't. Abortion doesn't equal slavery in any universe! Abortion represents freedom.

Never said abortion equaled slavery. Abortion equals murder, but is not called murder because it's a legally protected form of murder.

One difference that comes to mind immediately and therefore makes your
comparison invalid: in the natural death of a young child, both parents
would have a legal right to make all decisions.

Oh for Christ's sake! The same people that decide the fate of a fetus' corpse are the same people that decide the fate of a toddlers corpse.

There is no difference from donating fetal remains to science than donating a child's cadaver or a corpse to science!

Murder is the willful killing of a person. A fertilized egg isn't a person. An embryo isn't a person, and neither is a fetus.

did you just link a random blog as your proof?

Yeah, that's right. I posted a woman's testimonial. You have a problem with her testimony? You're quick to accept disgruntled employees with agendas uncorroborated testimony.

You don't believe situations like that happen? Would you deny that woman an abortion? Would you prefer she waited until the distressed fetus caused her to go into septic shock?

nobody is denying a woman anything anywhere ..abortion is legal remember?, do you know how long it takes for someone to go into septic shock? roughly 10 days... her life clearly wasnt in any immediate danger considering they had to make her wait 24 hrs and was sent to another state for her abortion ....

way to go trying to over dramatize for effect though lol

That's absolutely untrue! There are plenty of people, in this thread alone, who would like to ban abortion and close/defund all 700 PP clinics across the nation.

You should answer for yourself and try not to speak for other posters.

A corporation can be a "person". Abortion kills a human being.

Except that the toddler was (hopefully) loved.

First of all, almost all late term aborted fetuses were loved and wanted. Secondly, love has nothing to do with whether or not relatives decide to donate remains to science.

No, not the same at all. As you call it, a "fetus" is allowed to be
aborted and sold as "medical tissue" only on the pregnant woman's
choice, compared to that same being in another set of circumstances
that comes to term, is birthed and at that time. Two people; genetic mother
and father have a legal right over that person and that person (babies)
body, if it were to so tragically end in a natural death.

Nope. Abortion kills a potential human being.

And, when someone goes to jail for murdering a corporation, I'll maybe believe in its personage.

Look man, I want no part in whatever Richard Fleischeresque science fiction alternate universe where deceased human beings are viewed as a "resource." Call me old fashioned, but if that's the world we're building here, America can go to hell.

infanticide = murder

abortion = freedom to choose

A toddlers cadaver is also allowed to be sold.

The same people that make the decision on what to do with an aborted fetus are, in theory, the same people who decide what to do with their deceased toddlers body. Not all abortions are decided alone, especially the late term abortions, which are almost always a heart wrenching decision made by both partners.

Actually, love has everything to do with it. From where I stand, it takes an amazingly selfless act to offer the remains of your loved child so that others might live, might see, or might not have spend their lives hooked to machines. Conversely, abortion IN THE MAJORITY OF CASES is a purely selfish act decided upon based on the wants of "mom" superceding any of the potential of the baby developing in her womb.

If that toddler ( now a person allowed to come to term and birthed) has
a known legal father, not without his consent.

The fact that you keep comparing the two, aborted and toddler is
a disturbing slippery slope ...imo.

Related, but really one in the same....
For the record, as I have commented before in PP threads,
Planned Parenthood was founded in principal on Eugenicist ideals,
and operates to this day on those same ideals. What it is today
is the very worst part of America. I agree with those
who say that some day we will look back on this time
and see this practice as barbaric.

Please excuse me now as I go weep.

I've been there personally. My father didn't say anything, one way or the other anything about donating his organs, neither did my mother. It wasn't an amazingly selfless act to allow my father, and later my mother, to be harvested before his cremation. I was glad that they could find usefulness in his 83 year old body, but I didn't feel like I just did something special. He was practically blind, but someone got his corneas! We still got an urn of ashes and ceremonially strewed them.

Most women who get abortions already have children and are thinking of them, not themselves. Besides, deciding to have a child is the most selfish thing a person can do. There is no other reason to have a child other than the fact that you want to.

Well I was right and wrong. Ours falls under a wrongful death case law instead of a different legislative act.
