the other exchange floors (the CNBC mouths say 9 of them) have been working... so this shutdown is causing earlier Orders at the close to be cancelled which is different than plain vanilla Market Orders

blocks of shares by institutions are the most affected... those are the types of market movements which cause the herd mind to react as a group...

I keep thinking this event was a designed 'circuit breaker' (delay)

Or else the CERN based 'LHC' made contact with the dark Angels in the abyss/other dimension Portal...and They are set loose on the unsuspecting world to cause Chaos

I went and looked it up and here is something of interest:

A domain name server used by the St. Louis Federal Reserve was hacked in late April, directing some queries to potentially malicious Web pages designed to look like its site, a spokesperson from the financial institution said.

The regional Fed location told active users of its data tools about the April 24 breach on Monday. Users directed to the domains could have been vulnerable to phishing, malware or password theft, the bank's message said.

Back in April and May it was attacked as well.

They announce every other hack like Target just last November but United airlines as part of this supposed conspiracy along with the WSJ another commercial venture and the stock exchange they don't announce? I'm not buying it sorry. You can entertain yourself with conspiracy theories about across the board hacks if you want.

Target has far less impact on the economy than the NYSE, especially if investors freaked out and started pulling money out. If I was in charge, I'd order it kept quiet. I don't personally see a connection with United, heard enough of their problems lately to call that a coincidence.

Absolutely ... no question about it. And they shout out the Chinese for being bad, for wanting to do the same. Kinda makes the Chinese look a little tarded don't it ... why didn't they do this right out front, on day 1.

I've done a lot of work for Boeing in the past and between them and Honeywell, their parts over the last few years haven't looked like anything that belongs in an normal Engine.
