I choose to ignore you as you are not listening, go find another goading victim.

Your presumptions are not welcome.

I'm not listening to being told that I can't participate in the site as a member and as I choose?

Funny.

You stated positions that are inaccurate and incorrect. When challenged with factual information, you defaulted to attempting a victim stance rather than offering any evidence aside from "I'm right you are wrong."

Your comments that humans with different sexual orientations and gender identities have been universally reviled in all of human history, particularly in tribal social structures, is simply not true.

EDIT:

For some evidence in support of my position see:

The World History of Male Love

21 Varieties of Tradtional (heh) African Homosexuality

Homosexuality - A Survival Advantage for Early Man

The Origins and Roles of Same Sex Relations in Human Societies, pg 11

From the latter:

In Chapter 2 a review of sexual practices amon gthe indigeonous tribal cultures that were discovered in the undeveloped regions of the world during the expansion of Western colonialism will show that homosexuality in one form or antother was virtually universal among pre-Westernized tribal peoples of all races, and that in those cultures homosexuality seem to harmoniously complement the heterosexual reations of married couples.

From MY heterosexual point of view homosexuality is wrong. I find it as repulsive as pedophilia, beastiality and necrofilia. I respect homosexuals and certainly don't discriminate or treat them any differently and support and accept they should have the same rights as heterosexual couples but that does not change the fact I find their sexuality repulsive and that in my view is a natural part of heterosexuality. Flame on

Agreed, just thought you should know you aren't the only one.

Out of curiosity, do you believe that your personal tastes and reactions should guide national laws?

The subject at hand is the attempts on the part of the UK Government to limit and control radicalization in public schools. These guidelines, as previously pointed out by a direct link to the Ministry's website and to the guidelines themselves, do not primarily focus on the topic of homosexuality.

one has to wonder how children form the opinion that homosexuality is " wrong "

Children hear and see more than we give them credit for. I know that when I was growing up in the 90s, majority of the exposure I had about homosexuality was negative, even though I didn't know anything about it. It was just clear to me at a very young age that gay = bad and the last thing I wanted to be was bad, so I equated that with also not being gay. Let's just say I had a "fun" unpacking all of that when coming out. Even an episode of Simpsons I watched when it originally aired, Homer's Phobia, scared me to not be gay because I saw Homer's reaction to Bart's actions in the episode. Even though by the end of the episode it is resolved and Homer realizes that it won't matter to him if Bart grew up to be gay or not, it was Homer's fear and anger in the beginning of the episode that impacted me the most.

For a lot of people "it is wrong" to consume alcohol, rising to the level of religious belief.

The same thing is true of eating pork and/or beef, of eating food that is not prepared in special ritualistic ways, etc.

Some people believe that it's a sin to have long hair, and some believe it's wrong to cut the hair short.

These are all strong, passionately held beliefs, with a basis in religion.

Should there be laws or legal structures, therefore, that prevent EVERYONE from drinking, or eating, or grooming as they choose?

Aren't those PERSONAL beliefs that should govern INDIVIDUAL behavior?

Just... lol.

Government indoctrination of what is morally right has been underway for a while...
This is beyond the pale.

Agreed bro, this is crazy. Whats next, thought police?

Oh wait..

Can you explain how we have thought police? Or anything close to resembling thought police?

Do you really not understand the difference between your teo examples?

That one is hate directed at a whole sector of people and the other is something personal and non hate filled about oneself?

Really? You dont get that?

All "sodomy"? Does it disgust you between men and women too?

Right, and others find eating pork disgusting, and I, for example, find imposing Neolithic belief structures on modern life to be not only disgusting, but ridiculous, asinine and backwards.

I've been a "sodomite" for over 40 years. I'm a very decent and respectful person, as a matter of fact.

Every culture believes that "society is going downhill" ... and yet, we're still here.

Why is society going downhill? Because we are evolving past the point of killing, shunning, shaming and forcing gay people (who haven't hurt anyone and just want to live their lives in peace and as citizens with equal rights) to hide? Society used to be pretty awful - it's getting a little better.

Neolithic belief...no...it was never seen in public thirty years ago...why was that then i wonder..
people knew it was wrong so it was all done behind closed doors...need i say more..

Society is going downhill like you say but how long before we get down to the valley and what awaits mankind when we get there....think i will try and make my way back to the summit personally..

It is funny how sodomy gets name dropped often in these debates even though less than 25% of gay men regularly participate in it. In fact, there is only a 10% difference between heterosexual couples and homosexual couples participating in the act.

Homosexuality is not just about sex any more than heterosexuality. Are you capable of having a close, loving, committed relationship that goes beyond just sex? So are homosexuals. They are capable of simply loving someone, you know.

It seems like everyone has an inappropriate level of interest in what goes on in the bedroom between a same sex couple.

Well don't think about the act. It's really none of your business is it? Worry about your own acts, and quit worrying about someone else's.
