again, as has already been said many times, eliminating the confederate flag from flying over a government building right underneath the American flag, is what needs to be done away with....you can....(again, already said many times).....fly it elsewhere.

I guess you missed the youtube video of the black man wearing the confederate uniform flying the good old stars and bars.

To many who live today only know what they read about that flag...and it is usually because it had to do with slavery. That flag does not just mean slavery, as it has been shown many times before in this thread.

Exactly dude. The Swastika is an ancient symbol, and now when i see it, i cant help but think of Nazis.

We need to change the meaning of that flag.

We need to make it a symbol of rebellion.

Thats exactly what this country needs right now.

We need to flip this and flip it good.

Good point.

Although we aren't talking about Tel Aviv. We are talking about America where it is actually allowed to fly the Nazi flag, or the confederate flag.

On the old Georgian state flag it meant the same as it does to the white people. As I don't remember seeing any massive protests from them here to remove it.

No. Just... no. It's the symbol of a discredited movement that failed utterly, which wanted to preserve slavery in the USA and which was willing to do anything to achieve that objective. If you want to find a flag that symbolises rebellion find another one.
