Why would anyone name a place Virginia. Is it a celebration of virgin virtuoso?

Just strange!

Nice story entries.

Is that Marlboro country ?

I thought it was tobacco related ...

4 bloody am.

Please be careful. Go back to bed, snuggle down and stay there until a decent hour is reached.

I like 9.00am although I know that not everyone has that option.

Go and see a doctor or a psych or good witch to remove the curse.

You would have to ask them. I suggest using a Ouija board, as they're dead.

I guess it's all the difference between pee soup and pea soup. I don't know. I wonder if it goes away if you boil the kidneys.

In case anyone is interested here is a link to an eagle's nest near my home (Pittsburgh) .
For this 1st day of spring the first of three eagle eggs is hatching.
The first eaglet is now breaking through it's egg.
Here is a live camera feed.

I LOVE that Tom - really cool!
We've got Osprey live Webcams here in Scotland, but the birds are still in Africa at this time of year, I think it'll be another few weeks before they return home to nest.

If I remember.... I'll post links to the cams once the birds return!

Gordi those picture's are beautiful.
Just curious, When the wind is blowing in from the ocean, do you get that salty taste in your mouth?
I've fished the Atlantic and I remember the ocean spray tasted salty and made me hungry.

Thanks kat,
Uhm, yeah, you do get a sense of the salty air... I tend to "smell" it rather than "taste" it, unless it's REALLY stormy!
AND YES!! The Sea Air always makes me hungry, then tired!! LOL

Thanks Gordi.
It gets interesting later when they get a little bigger and Dad brings them food.
One time he brought a seagull. It looked like a scene from Jurassic park when the Rapter's attack!
A lot of little old ladies who watch the nest were traumatized. lol (City folk.)
Anyway I look forward to seeing your nest cam links later on.
As you can see, we have some snow flurries today.
It was almost 70 degrees just a couple of days ago.
Oh well, spring is here. (At least on the calendar. )

Tom

When I was a kid all those years ago we used to have conversations about what the year 2000 would be like.

On that school bus had I have said ................... In 2016 I'll be married to a girl I met in Israel, who's from South Africa, talking to friends I've never met, yet flying to Scotland and France to meet them, and I'll be watching a bald eagle hatching eggs across the atlantic whilst sitting in my living room.................I think I would have been committed.

I never fail to be amazed

We are having some snow showers here today as well.
And this the first day of spring!
Not all that unusual for us as we can get freezing temps or below well into April.

The kiddos were excited until they realized they are already out of school....
for Spring Break!

This is the first time in awhile that we won't be travelling.
I'm afraid the new flowers are doomed...

The weather here has been glorious all weekend.
Mild (not quite warm yet), sunny... awesome!

This is how I spent Saturday afternoon...

I can highly recommend it!

Chrissie was leading a group of kids on a forest play event... hunting for early easter eggs and playing games / races etc
So, I volunteered to be.... on stand-by, as... emergency backup! Yeah, that's it... Emergency backup on my hammock!
Ahhh, swaying in the breeze with the sun on my face, listening to the birds in the trees and the distant children's laughter. They should prescribe this in Doctors surgeries!

Today, Chrissie was off on a basket-weaving course, so I took the boys to a Country Park, complete with ancient Castle, nature trails, river walks, animals (Horses, Donkeys, llamas, Pigs, Chickens, Geese, Ducks, Rabbits, Guinea Pigs, Sheep etc) and a great adventure play area to tire them out!

Didn't work, as I am the one who is now in need of a lie down!! LOL
Forgot to take my phone out of the car, so no photos this time

But what a great weekend.

Tom, glad you enjoyed the story entry. I can't imagine what I wrote that has inspired you. LOL
Awwww, pretty eagle! We usually get the live hawk cams. I can imagine the size of that eagle's nest as they are such huge birds! I think I would be traumatized too seeing the Father bring home a seagull! We are supposed to get between 6 to 10 inches of snow between today sometime and tomorrow morning. How is Gail our little Bug with the cute ducky avatar? Send her my love!

Hello Skid! You made me laugh with the difference between pea and pee soup.

Gordi, I smell rather than taste the salty air too when I'm near the ocean. As for sea air making you hungry and tired, I'm always hungry and tired so I wouldn't notice the difference between being there or here. LOL

Cody, when I was young, I always wondered what the future could possibly have that I didn't have already. Hell, when I was a kid, we had to get up and change the television stations, we didn't have remote controls. We didn't have cell phones. We had phone booths everywhere outside if we needed to call someone. I had a record player and records. Then there were 8 tracks, then cassets, then CD's. Of course the price went up higher and higher with each change.

We didn't have video games and all the electronics the kids have today. We had fun though and spent as much time outside as we could using our imaginations. The guys built a little cabin like shelter in the woods that was supposed to be just for the boys but one of them let me in and my Brother who also hung out with the same kids was pissed as hell. LOL

We looked for salamanders, rode our bikes etc. With the girls, we had our tea parties with our dolls and I had a real china tea set. We would buy penny candy at the corner store and comic books every week. We were supposed to be back home when the street lights went on and half the time, we were having so much fun, we didn't notice and got in trouble. In the Summer, I was in the pool so much, my Parents called me a mermaid. LOL

Bird,LOVE your new Avatar!!!!!!! Awesome!! Welcome to the 'I'm getting snow' club! LOL I won't even think of buying any plants until late April early May.

Gordi, I swear I'm going to move in with you! You and your family have so much fun all the time! I would have enjoyed watching the early Easter events and I would have went off with Chrissie for the basket weaving class! Then again I would have wanted to go to the park with you and the boys too. Hmmm...decisions decisions. I might have kicked you off the hammock wanting a little time on that thing myself, but aside from that, I'm very well behaved. LOL
