One word - China.

Good luck with that.

While you're sitting there masterbating over how good America is, the rest of us cannot wait until you inevitably fail, just like every other corrupt, greedy and warmongering nation has before.

Well, looking at history, it HAS worked out well for us when it comes to invading countries in Central or South America. You could also consider Manifest Destiny a form of invasion, so that worked out well too.

What is China going to do all the way on the other side of the world?

Exactly what I was trying to infer, Krazy. What country outside of north America is going to expend what's necessary to rescue Mexico. It would have to be a totally United global event against USA "tyranny".

Frankly, I'm surprised the banking cartels haven't come up with this already.

It's humorous that the troll led us to this train of thought.

He's so busy raging as if this is actually happening, he can't even understand that this thread is purely objective & would prob end in more America bashing than anything.

Dude sucks at his own game.

It seems to me that suddenly adding a hundred million or so to our welfare roles would be disastrous. The vast majority of Mexico's population live well below what the US considers poverty. We make them citizens, we become responsible for them.

If we are going to have a mental exercise on this, it would serve us better to take over and make them a "protectorate" like we did with the Philippines.

Purely for the mental exercise/discussion. I'm opposed to an Imperialistic US. OTOH, if we are going to be an empire, we might as well do it right.

This is true. Annexing Mexico would be the same thing as South Korea and North Korea reuniting. It would destroy the economy of the country with the superior economy.

Keep calling me a troll all you want mate, it only serves to prove my point.

Apparently only Americans and those who agree with the OP are allowed to post in this thread, all others are simply "trolls".

Poor form.

China doesn't have the blue water navy to make them a threat. Also right now their economy is tied to tightly to ours to make economic threats a concern .

On topic:

It would create many more issues than it would solve... could we... Certainly with ease... Then we would see a truly nasty insurrection.

That's cool. China still has to cross the ocean to get to us. Too bad they don't have a Navy that can compete with ours or one that can utilize their superior numbers.

What gives America the right to invade a sovereign country?

Mexico is invading the US. Every day thousands cross the border. What's the difference?

That's exactly it. The main point of your question is "no one will stop us." There won't be a unified global war why? To save Mexico? Who's going to join that fight? Won't be the UK, won't be Australia, so who? Russia? Lol give me a break.

IF America decided to invade Mexico the only fight back would be from Mexico, and maybe south American countries scared of a domino effect. That's it.

Hell it would probably end up a joint military exercise with Canada helping us.

Thank you very much navy doc, the first true contribution to the thread.

Apparently humanity has reached a point where even the idea of a mental/exploratory excercise is enough to throw their sensibilities into seizure.

They don't need a navy to lob several hundred nukes at you then follow up with an invasion of 2 billion people.
