By the way before Crimea was Russia it was settled by the Greeks and was a part of the Holy Roman Empire for almost 2k years. Russia and its invasion / annexation of Crimea didn't start until the 1780's.

Like I said, people need to know history if they are going to try using it as a justification.

This is the same # that was pulled by Albright and Clinton in Serbia. How can we not have thread drift!?

The title was "Rumor: Putin Has Been Neutralized by a Stealthy Coup".

What have we discovered today?
• Putin is alive and shows up in a public conference with no wounds and apparently no dead bodyguard
• Putin gets questions about his whereabouts that prove this is today's video and not some recycled old footage
• "Rumor" proven to be false…he was not "Neutralized"
• No signs of a "Coup" either

This thread has been answered by the reality that Putin was not "Neutralized" and there is no sign of a "Coup" at any level, except the level of heresay and gossip (yes, even from the media I'm sad to say).

So, I ask again. How can we not have thread drift!? There is no thread left, unless you buy the 6 Putin doubles and ET abduction theories posted here…and that should have it's own thread in the "Grey Area".

I am a bit confused on something. Somewhere around page 60 or so it was being reported that today's meeting was to be cancelled as well. Then it was late to start, and then Putin (supposedly) showed up for a quick hit and run.
Was the mention of today being cancelled just a regurgitation of the first cancel? If it wasn't and it was actually for today, don't you folks find it odd that he then shows up?

I myself still think there are so many things wrong with this whole sequence of events to really even consider just putting this to bed.

Outside of what concerns Putin, just the fact of how quiet our media was through the whole thing. I imagine if it wasn't for all the smoke and fire from the social media, we would have never known a thing. Let's face it, how many times have we slammed the MSM for reporting over and over and with such exaggerated redundancy some things that are simply beyond trivial? Face palms all around.

The enormity of this situation even by half, the silence if just too deafening from that front and I'm very surprised that more members from here are not disturbed by this. Even more disturbing, they would rather quibble semantics of this whole threads legitimacy just on its own. That in itself I am still really trying to wrap my head around. Nothing like getting so focused on a puzzle piece, yet fail to see the big picture.

Yet, it did seem to run many off. I don't understand how just because someone showed up today, people now consider this case is now closed. This in itself does not ring of ATS quality of trying to Really get to the bottom of what is really going on. This is a big fumble and drop of the ATS ball as far as I'm concerned.

So much has been put into this thread. Great thoughts, great theories, many bases covered. Question is, did we really cover all of them? Are we sure we haven't missed something so obvious?

I am glad to know SO is still fishing around and trying to turn over more stones. Thank goodness the fulcrum of this site is still solid and pursuing just what this site was created to do. Now I only wonder where the rest of the old guard and old school members are to help finish putting this obviously unfinished puzzle together. Can't believe they would let some little school yard punks run them off the playground.

With all that said, are you finding anything new or curious in your search SO? Something maybe some of us could also try to pursue from different angles?
