Are you from Germany? Kaliningrad is Russian. Germans lost it when they lost war which they started.
Crimea is Russian too. And it will be Russian. Beside of number of Russians living there its highly strategic place... It wont (and it cant be) nato/USA base. No matter how many stupid moves CIA or other agencies will make. Funding extremists, overthrowing legal goverments etc. is wrong. Just wrong. And it was usrael job not Putins. As a matter of fact, Stalin DID kill a lot of Jews, and had he lived longer, might well have created his own version of the Holocaust. This is leaving aside for the moment the fact that he had already killed many more millions of his own people across the ideological and religious spectrum; I am merely saying that the Jews would probably have been the specific target of his next "purge". An acquaintance of mine once pitched a book idea to his publisher about this. The book would have been called Stalin's Holocaust. Fortunately for the Jews in the USSR, Comrade Stalin expired before he could put his own mass-murderous anti-semitism into action.

Not the Holy Roman Empire(First Reich, claimed to be successor of Western Roman Empire), that was a Germanic state. You mean the Byzantine Empire or to give it the correct name, Eastern Roman Empire. Always confusion between the two, thats why historians now refer to it as Byzantine Empire.

So Putin reappears after ten days with a smile on his face, and refuses to make any statement as to where he was.

This sort of thing is jet fuel to the conspiracy theory fire.
