Fake coup attempts are a great way to reinforce national support for a waning dictator. Given the situation it's impossible to tell. It seems like the people love him but the oligarchy are upset...depleting pocket books. A staged coup won't do anything for the oligarchs support but might justify war in the eyes of Russians. Not sure if Russians are as stupid as Americans because I've never been there but I suppose it's possible.

But experiment or not one needs the "sour grapes" to not getting excited over every little detail "the people" throw in social media to deny ignorance. Take a breath, put some of the ADHD sugar with the grapes, put it in the freezer, let it settle in, take a rest and you have a wonderful dish.

I will redact my own comment.... My good friend had read it on some website, but that website pulled back the statement that it was old photos.

Apparently the latest is that it is believed these photos are real and that he is well and functioning. "crisis" over

Having said that... how do we know that Putin is still in power? How can we be sure that the rumours of the FSB and the oligarchs aren't in effect as we speak. If there is one thing Putin is good at it's making a show and an appearance. Honestly, he's nice to have as a front figure.
