As good a theory as any... Another one I am thinking is what if the "ones behind the coup" brought him back into the spotlight to make things appear normal, when the situation is anything but? What if Putin is merely a mind controlled robot?? Man, I really need to go to bed..... It's my own fault that I haven't already..

Putin is alive so now we need to figure out if the chat about his body guard being killed are true or false.

Regardless it was all very strange. Seems it could have been a coup attempt and he's showing his face now to reassure that he's survived and still at the helm. What's the deal with his security guy?

Supposedly his chief body guard was killed. Again speculation that somehow tied into Putin - little on facts loads on conjecture.

Didn't skeptic overlord put up a post about some ex Russian polly who twittered now living in Germany saying this was a ploy, meaning Putin will hang in there and be gone in September , I tried to find it but to many posts

Well played Putin, he had the last laugh this time and it shows how media can get into overdrive over basically nothing.

I don't blame him for not reacting, maybe it was a private thing he didn't want to make public or lie about, he has the right to privacy.
