Rumor: Putin Has Been Neutralized by a "Stealthy Coup" - Opening Post Updated 9x - Putin Found

I've just been watching BBC rolling news, which now acknowledges the existence of the internet illness/coup rumours, without making it top story.
(more like 20 minutes past the hour)
The line is "he hasn't been seen for several days. These rumours are there, but of course nothing has been confirmed. He is due to have a meeting today".

I cover the Norwegian and Swedish media and there is a lot of coverage about this sitation. The situation here is tense and at least one Swedish newspapers have live coverage. This is of course because of the more frequent Russian presence in Swedish and Norwegian seas and airspace.

Norwegian papers have several articles about the sudden Russian exercise for the arctic fleet.

However, Norway have since a couple of days held the biggest military exercise since 1967, Joint VIking, for the Norwegian army in the northern part of Norway bordering to Russia. Russia has been informed about this since the planning began two years ago but there are now fears they still may feel provoked. The exercise is held to see how the Norwegian military can go from a small unstable situation to full-scale war in the northern part of Norway, says Morten Haga Lunde, the officer in charge of the operative administration.

At the same former military chef, Jacob Børresen, says that Norway doesn´t have any mlitary defence at all if it comes to war.

But - because of the military exercise the Norwegian army now have a very good picture of the "exercise" of the Russian arctic fleet which according to local sources began at 0600 this morning Norwegian time.

I will keep you updated if there are any interesting news about this in local media which may not reach international media.

All media is state controlled - have you met the british media we have two countries controlling ours.

What intrigues me is that those controlling the media are so co-k-sure of themselves they think people don't see through their nonsense and manipulation.

Yers ago the brit media hated a guy called Arthur Scargill. It turns out that the man was telling the public the whole truth, in fact he was actually conservative in what he revealed - but in hindsight he told the truth and our government manipulated our news by cutting the reels shown. Its the same with Assad who suddenly thge USA who hates the guy with poison from its other little government body above its own government, is now announcing they will talk to the man becausde he has turned out to be the one the syrian people back. I siuspect its the same with Putin my does cameron hate him why - because a lot of the Russian people actually admire and like the guy - something cameron knows will never apply to him and his etonian bullies and prigs.

Your complete inability to engage the topic. You want to make it personal simply because I don't like Putin and I think he is a dangerous egotistical schmuck who cares more about his image than the Russian people.

yeah various statements have been playing that story... either that or his back and some vietnamese chiropractor.

So all bets are on. There's only two options, either Putin steps up again, or those who killed him comes forward and assume power over Russia. Until then, everything that happens are just nice coincidences... Heck, there's just quite a lot of them right.

Remember 9/11... lots of convenient coincidences there as well.

Lame. I don't care what any news source says at this point, we should have heard from Vlad by now. We should have heard something DAYS ago. Something is amiss, period.

Who knows. Who cares? Putin still hasn't appeared, even on the day this "meeting" was supposed to take place, so he's not around. Something is up, I don't think much more proof is needed.

Thanks for your media report from the front line!

I always think of Norway, Dutch, Sweden, Finland, Poland and other European nations as defensive. They are not offensive nations, Russia knows this, all they are doing is building defenses to buy time for when the US can push the Russians back to Russia.

Russia would not be threatened by European drills which are defensive in nature...surely...

Like the Nazis in the 30's , Putin's economic strategy is solely aimed at taking the country to war. Its like a band aid that is designed to cover a serious bleed until Russia's military modernization programs are completed in 2020.

Yea, definitely has a few of us spooked a little.

I'm sure it's not the first time, tho, that Russia has had almost all of it's military flexing their muscle at the same time.

Tho, this time could be different. We will have to see.
