Think of it this way. If one of Obama's Presidential rivals was executed near the White House I'm pretty sure his public appearances would be few and he'd be out of site for quite a while. Maybe it's just extra security precautions.

ya could be something so simple like there was a threat that seemed legit so they beefed up security a bit. The problem is there are literally a dozen theories and not one thing of concrete yet...I don't see how you could cover up an assassination this long. There would be too many inner people freaking out and talking about it..telling their families or even people leaving the country seeking asylum by now. I just think there would be much more going on if he was killed.

The president has the ability to address the public from the bunker and near anywhere he goes though. I don't think it would take him more than a day to address the public after an assassination attempt.

For what it's worth and after 30 odd pages, my money is on a "lil Kim" style scenario, he will show up, but at present is just pre-disposed medically for some reason, one things for sure, it's not going to be a cold.

I have a theory on the trucks/barricades. There is an FIA Formula E race coming up in Moscow. Its not until june 6th, but they start track peparations a month or more in advance. All their races take place on street circuits and the tracks are surrounded by concrete barriers with catchfencing on the barriers. I saw a picture yesterday of the trucks/barriers and that what it reminded me of.

I was continuing with a US example since there was a US comparison. That's all.

Also, if it was Putin's, and his lackey's, intention to maintain a strong image of Putin, enough to the point they'd deny he even had the flu, I would think that Putin would be out in the public within hours of a failed assassination attempt to show he's not scared nor weak.

I just meant you are tireless. You're a posting machine. I didn't mean anything else. And yes, I agree with you there is nothing but rumors. If it is something dramatic I'm sure it would be out very soon. Hard to say for sure, but I'll bet it's nothing. That said I watched CNN when Yeltsin shelled their White House.

Don't know if it's been posted yet, but an Austrian newspaper is reporting that he is being treated for back problems. That's according to Yahoo, so make of it what you will...
