I was curious if anything official had been said.

IMO the baby angle kind of makes sense with the timing.

Putin has been in power for a long time and is no dummy , and has connection in all the right places and all the wrong places.

So I would be more surprised to see him get whacked or even an attempt to be made on his life than him going and seeing his baby. After all, doesn't the devil eat his young, So yeah I think he is on his way to eat his young.

His girl is having a baby in Switzerland.

This. It's his "love child" according to the NY Post:

Nothing official...Yet. However, this (away for love child birth) makes the most sense. To me, anyway.

If he were ill, or even dead, the world would know. Too much money to be made for the person breaking that story to the press...

this kind of day offs, last about a day, not almost 10 days. I may say again, we may focus in the wrong person. Where is Medvedev, when was the last time seen?
In our news, we have them both missing and they point out the western media obsession, only for the 1 person missing. What about the other one.

Something is happening. Helicopters flying where they shouldn't be, reports of political fighting and power strugglees, all point to something messy.

One of the other threads had reports of helicopters, including a special operations communications bird flying near the Kremlin, which is restricted airspace. There are several articles talking about a major shift in power, including Medvedev being removed.

According to eng.news.kremlin.ru... Putin is scheduled for a meeting on Monday. Monday should be interesting.

Vladimir Putin will meet with President of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Atambayev in St Petersburg on March 16.

The main subject on the agenda will be continued steps to develop bilateral cooperation, particularly trade and investment ties, cultural and humanitarian contacts, and relations in the energy sector.

The two presidents will also have a detailed exchange of views on cooperation in connection with Kyrgyzstan’s accession to the Eurasian Economic Union.

I think so as well. Put in perspective, what kind of chaos would be going on right now, if Obama was missing for 10 days?
What ever is going down, it is a biggie.

With Dmitry removed, the DUMA buffer between NATO
and the Kremlin is almost gone. It can't be good... and
it yells a BIG power grab inside you won't hear on RT
until the cement snowshoes are completely dry, either.

I'll play Gromyko on this one though.. although the countries
have traded places; and I'm looking to see if FDR looks a
little puffy in the casket, God forbid. And I'll believe it
when I see it.

contrary to my previous posts I don't believe Putin is dead or retired. If it was so, until now Medvedev would have assumed power according to constitution. It doesn't happen. For a coup you have to have many tanks in Russia, as we saw in 1991 and 1993. Nothing like that happens. Not even demonstrations. Instead, the Red square is being renewed for some celebrations. (May 9 or something else).

May be the possibility of grave illness is the most viable for now, and Kremlin buying time afraid to announce it. Because he is neither dead nor active. But Kremlin could buy time to announce something else. Let see if they will keep the word of this weekend major announcement.

Their final explanation might be more odd than anything we have imagined so far. And they apparently make it in a dramatic way, may be they themselves don't know the entire story yet. They seem as being ordered to just buy time with nonsense.

They could say it in the first 48 hours whatever it is, and they chose not to do so. To prepare public opinion, for what.

I read something that sounded very Russian. Stalin and Ivan the Terrible did it: travel and pretend to be indisposed, see who tries to overthrow you and your allies and who tries to defend you. Come back secretly and kill the traitors.

I don't exclude alien intervention or at least human disclosure at this crucial point.

It would be irreparable mistake if we slip into WW3 mode without even trying to do the things better, providing we already know of these realities. It would be not only fault of humanity, but also of the other side, of the aliens, if they just let the things go and then gather survivors from the nuclear ash.

With or without Putin, the things can move fast towards WW3. Imagine a general comes next, and decides all of today's the problems.
