Putin In Italy For Birth of Secret Love Child?
The Russian leader has been missing, prompting speculation he’s deathly ill—but Italian and Swiss media says he’s just been in Lugano for the birth of his baby.
Russian president Vladimir Putin appears to be back at the Kremlin after a mysterious disappearance that had people wondering if the Russian leader might be seriously ill or at risk of a coup. But a Swiss newspaper says the Russian playboy was just in Lugano for the birth of his lovechild.
In an article titled Es ist ein Mädchen! or “It’s a Girl,” the paper Bilk claims that Putin and his alleged 32-year-old lover, Olympic gymnast Alina Kabayeva, welcomed their daughter at the private Santa Anna di Sorgeno clinic in the Italian-speaking canton of Ticino on the Italian border—a favorite playground for wealthy Russians.
Bizarre TV report about Putin meeting with Kyrgyzstan President comes amid speculation over Russian President's location Russian state TV channel 'Rossiya 24' has prematurely reported on the results of a meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Kyrgyzstan President Almazbek Atambayev despite the fact that the meeting is not scheduled to take place until Monday 16 March. Another Russian state TV channel 'Rossiya 1' has also reported the same. During a March 13 news bulletin a Rossiya 24 journalist reported: "The Kremlin also reports that Vladimir Putin met with Kyrgyzstan President Almazbek Atambayev on Monday. They talked about cooperation in investment and humanitarian spheres and the energy sector. They also discussed the possibility of Kyrgyzstan joining the Eurasion Union." The TV channel later acknowledged to BBC Russian Service reporters that the report had been a mistake. Vladimir Putin disappeared from public view on March 5, sparking speculation as to his whereabouts. He was last seen publicly during his meeting with Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi. In an apparent bid to quell speculation surrounding the Russian President's current location and status, the Kremlin released a video on March 13 of Putin meeting with Russia's top judge. Ukrainian news agency TSN reports that the video strongly resembles archive footage from a previous meeting held on 21 November, 2014. Putin's extended absence has led to a flurry of rumours on social media and claims that the Russian leader may be seriously ill or the victim of a palace coup. Putin is usually heavily featured in the tightly-controlled Russian media, where his daily schedule typically dominates news bulletins.

MOSCOW (Reuters) - The killing of Russian opposition figure Boris Nemtsov within sight of the Kremlin has exposed rarely seen tensions between different camps inside President Vladimir Putin's system of rule.
No outsiders can know with any certainty what is happening behind the red-brick walls of the Kremlin, but some of Nemtsov's associates say his shooting is being used by one faction to send Putin a message that they are unhappy and need to be reckoned with.
That would represent a challenge to the foundations of Putin's 15-year-old rule, built on a rigid pyramid of power and the assumption of unshakeable loyalty.
"I think that perhaps Putin, even completely sincerely, was bewildered and even afraid," Vadim Prokhorov, Nemtsov's lawyer, said of the hours after the Feb. 27 shooting.
"Because if you can do that next to the Kremlin, then is it not possible to do it along the route of the (presidential) motorcade?" he told Reuters.
Feeding a mood of frenzied speculation in Moscow, Putin this week canceled a planned trip to Kazakhstan without explanation. A Kazakh official said Putin was ill, while the Kremlin said he was fine and working as usual.
Who is on which side in this rivalry, or even that such a rivalry exists, is impossible to establish with complete confidence because no one has publicly acknowledged any serious differences between camps.
Yet analysts point to signs of tensions between, on one side, the powerful head of Russia's Chechnya region, Ramzan Kadyrov, and on the other, the Russian state security agencies which are Putin's closest associates.
