This is very true. I am freinds with Afghani's who had to flee the country, and freinds with Afghani's who never left. ALL of the one's I spoke to were so sick and tired of living under threat of death.. and ALL of them I know wanted the US there to get rid of the Taliban.

Its all that I know... I know some don't want the US there anymore because the taliban is still there and they are getting war weary, but no one but the taliban and their sympathisers want the taliban in power.

Life under them was a living hell.

The US didnt just go to Afghanistan because you were nice guys, the war on terrorism does have a few questions hanging over it.

The US and coalition partners did a good thing, this fella playing his music though seemingly innocuous is not a good thing, the issues are separate.
Hypocrite Taliban, didnt the US have some issues with drugs and importing them from South America. I think the US government has white powder on their noses and you attack the Taliban.

That's the conundrum though! It is the Taliban that is burning down the poppy fields! It is the US troops that our protecting them!

It is old news indeed. And what I said remains valid, even for two years ago. To my knowledge the prayer times don't vary that wildly. And I would be surprised if the local commander agreed to blasting this music during a known prayer time.

I really do doubt that there were prayers going on anywhere close . The only shots of the background showed it all to be mountains or green which i assume to be grass . Or has Afghanistan suddenly been overtaken with a desire to paint things green .
