I never shared that to defend him my friend, but I thought I'd do my bit to keep this about the two officers rather than see another thread spiral into an Sharptonathon.

Don't rock the boat friend.

Let's keep this thread civil, for the OPs sake.

Why? Because you believe female lives are more important then males?
I disagree, and belive life or death is gender neutral, am I not allowed to disagree because you set the guidelines for discussion or something?

I was born and raised in Brooklyn NY . Bushwick to be exact during that time bushwick Brownsville bedstusy
These were some pretty rough neighborhoods in the mid 80's to the mid 90's with the crack epidemic these area's looked like bombed out war zones. Since 2001 there has been lots of gentrification and rebuilding into these areas. I bring this up only so my point comes across not as someone looking to instigate but someone with
A history and knowledge of the ghettos of NYC.

The last 3 /4 weeks I have never seen or felt the vibe I'm getting now. The poor ethnic people living in the ghettos of NYC are frustrated ,angry and I would say opportunitcly violent or prepared and or preparing for it.
Let me explain. I don't see this ambush vigilantly thing escalating but I do believe that if the situation
Became available for whatever the reason some maybe willing to do something stupid, crazy, violent, destructive
Obviously there could be a million different reason for a person to decide to act or react. I just have a feeling that more then ever the reaction is going to be one of violence toward authority . The people in the ghetto
Feel like the are being pushed out there neighborhoods by gentrification . Rents have doubled and in some cases tripled in areas that 15/20 years ago your couldn't pay a person to live. It's very common for cops to treat the
Newer people coming to this area with more respect and courtesy then someone who was has been in the area
Back when no one wanted to live there. NYPD have always treated classes and races differently but for many of these people they never left the neighborhood so they didn't deal with classism oftent. But now when it's your neighbor and the cops treat them 100 times better then they treat you or members of your family. Well now it's an in your face reality you experience regularly its something you have to deal with.

I don't condone violence exept in self defense but for some of these people they fell its self defense not just from immediate personal harm but for there fight for survival and there way of life. Most feel there is no way out so they imbrace there position and find a way of making it tolerable and sometimes even OK.
But now they feel not just forgotten but now almost unwelcome in areas they were born and raised in.

For along time after I finally moved out of bushwick I didn't want to go back. I just wanted to forget it.
Now that I am older I visit old friends and family and these are people that have been there 20/30 years .
People that were there as children who are now raising there children. All the changes are effecting them and
The police are the enforcers of some of it so they will be the first to feel a backlash.

This is not good. All it will do in the end is make the public opinion sway to the police side of things and against the protesters. If shoots the credibility of the protesters down and at the same time, gives the other side more credibility in the eyes of the public.

These guys put their lives on the line and when the prez stirs the pot along with that whack job mayor, and the likes of Sharpton,

This is just ridiculous.

Stay away from the funeral, Mayor de Blasio

This one is on the Mayor...

And, every A-hole protesting and screaming to kill a cop.

Happy now ?

Yep toss the cops under the bus for these politicians. These guys guard this dumbass! Most harping wouldn't hesitate to call one if someone were coming through their back door so to speak.

Same folks toss vets under the bus.

You can disagree my friend...

In fact the last thing I said in that post was "let's agree to disagree".

I respect your opinion, I hope you will do the same.

so its cool to target all cops for the actions of some cops?
just checking

I didn't say that. I said they put the target on their own backs. I don't recommend any activity except to avoid police contact at all costs.

Do you know how these two officers put the target on their backs? Like, what'd they do? Besides be cops, I mean.

History doesn't agree with you.

Watts Riots are widely considered the turning point of the civil rights movement.

Former Brooklyn resident here. My excuse for leaving was Ebola. I'm glad I won't be back there for a long time. There is tension in the poorer, more integrated areas. People are tired and oppressed.

Being a cop comes with a target.

Always has.

OK, I agree to disagree. I shall no longer engage with you in this thread.
I think that male and female lives have equal value though, so if anyone else aside from CharlieSpeirs agrees with me then please do share your own thoughts on his reasons why it may or may not be more acceptable to kill men before killing women?

It came two hours after he posted a picture of a gun on Instagram with the chilling message: 'I'm Putting Wings On Pigs Today. 'They Take 1 Of Ours... Let's Take 2 of Theirs #ShootThePolice #RIPErivGardner (sic) #RIPMikeBrown. 'This May Be My Final Post. I'm Putting Pigs In A Blanket.' The victims - both operating in different areas to their usual beat - were taken to Woodhull Hospital after the attack but died within hours. Read more: www.dailymail.co.uk... Oh Jesus Christ.

YOU were the first person to even MENTION Al Sharpton in this thread asking where he was, now that he has made a statement you are going to claim he isn't relevant?

What a joke.

This is why we need leaders that try to calm these idiots.

This was predictable. Almost like our leader wanted this to happen.

You can't make everything about Race...It provokes weak minded people to violence.

My Prayers go out to the innocent officers families...Right before Christmas.

Where's Al now ?

I ask you not to respond to my posts.

You do not have the intelligence nor are you worthy of my time.

So again, do not reply to me please. You are the most ridiculous poster on the site.

How sad. And so close to the holidays. What people don't understand is that cases like this make cops treat everyone like they are a criminal, whether they are black or white. If you don't want to be seen as a gang member/trouble maker/etc, etc, etc... Don't act like it. Set an example for your peers. The bad actions of a few outweigh the good actions of many.

I am so over this. On a government level, cops should just be yanked from the ghettos of NYC and St. Louis, let the people just kill each other. Eventually they will question what happened to the cops. And the answer will be "You didn't want them while they were there." Simple as that.

That's the agenda!

Those who hate the police enough to wish them "ALL" dead are too damn stupid to think of what their alternatives will be!

Otherwise, I would stand behind any police officer standing down and watching the whiners get what they have coming!

Don't have the intelligence to what? Point out your hypocritical statements?

I think I just demonstrated that I do.
