so its cool to target all cops for the actions of some cops?
just checking

Just like many cops treat every person as a wanted criminal. The police and supporters need to figure out that most of people they encounter don't deserve to be treated violently.

Know someone in NYPD - it was two female officers. One on force for two years, one for 7.

When will we learn this kind of stuff doesn't solve the problems?

There were some subtle warnings a few weeks ago....

NYPD cops warned militant group ‘preparing to shoot on-duty police officers’

Hmmm.

Maybe?

I agree with this.
The media also has been hyping a lot of cop vs people lately. Let's hope it isn't an agenda that someone high up is wanting.

Because we all know how that usually goes - their way.

Why? Because they were women?
Killing anyone is tragic, I don't see any gender divide in murder.

Instead of our leaders trying to calm people down.

I feel like they have made it open season on Cops.

This won't end well for anyone.

This was predictable. Almost like our leader wanted this to happen.

Come on now, to say that barry would want this to happen?!

What was he suppose to do? Does he have to get on national tv and say "Don't go execute cops"?

Not Barry...

But there is a virtual cornucopia of idiots in elected office stirring it up.

I still question what all the protesting has accomplished. The only accomplishment has been the federal government pledge to provide funds for police body cameras. Is this what the protesters really wanted? The second outcome that I expect to occur and has started to occur is that municipalities will request more funding for police to increase the number of police out on the street. St Louis City has already made this request. What will these accomplishment cause except more convictions and more incarcerations?

I know this is not a popular view but there is no such thing as peaceful protesting. All protesting is fueled by feelings of anger, rage, resentment, disrespect, etc.. All of the protesting ends up leading to more violence toward family, friends and neighbors. Look at the increase in violent crimes within the local societies where protesting has occurred.

Instead of protesting, people need to try to draft petitions and attempt to get signatures for those petitions. That is hard work but is has a chance to be much more productive. Don't rely on someone else or government to create better laws. One thing to remember when drafting a petition; you need it to encompass all of society. Don't write a petition that favor yourself but one that deals with all equally. You will need a coalition of people from all walks of life to support you ideas. Realize that people want freedoms and respect but they also want safety and security. Everything needs to be in balance.

Also, why have the police become so aggressive and counterproductive to society? What is driving our society to make these conditions? Don't go blaming it on someone else. Look inside and see what forces are affecting all of us.

$**+ like this is the reason why the police are so heavy handed when they feel threaten even slightly.

This is truly disgusting.

But pulling this type of stunt is not the answer, eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind.

We need reform not executions, from both sides.

I agree with you. There are ways to go through the checks and balances the system has to offer. When enough people on both sides don't like the same thing, take the issue through the proper channels all the way to the top. In the case I linked up
both the public and police officers were on the same page, and they were both right about his character and leadership abilities because of that character.

Things can change peacefully, it happens more than people realize.

No, he shot 2 police officers dead.

Doesn't sound like a cowardly act to me. It's unfortunate and horrible, but this isn't something done lightly, or something done out of cowardice.

It is now "us vs them".

We have been divided every possible way.

Black v White

Rich v Poor

Cop v Citizen

The thin blue line will soon be a mile wide.

Well done....

Yes, because they were women.

It is my belief that women are more important than men, whether that's popular or not wont sway my opinion on that.
It's just what I believe.

& I never said that men dying isn't tragic.

No. He killed his girlfriend in Baltimore. Then drove to NYC to apparently go out like the thug he was. Only he blew his own brains out when cornered by police, like the coward he was.
