whereas debunkers will have you believing people who claim abduction are clamoring for fame, fortune and notoriety -

nah, just the abduction "researchers".

I have one response to that: Stan Romanek.

@ PlanetXisHERE

Until today, I never considered that we were 6.40 miles driving distance (and around 5.0 miles straight as a crow flies) from a chemical plant.

While I am not certain if a chemical leak occurred, I now understand why people like to ask for the surroundings - It could make a difference.

Why I have never really thought of that before, I have no idea.

Anyway, thanks for the prompt and a different angle to consider.

I have very interesting and impressive sighting experience as well as some evidence. To me, they are definitely UNIDENTIFIED flying objects.

Take the time to read this, you'll find this interesting.

I've seen UFOs turn into planes when they cross under the blue/green/yellow/red "star" in the sky. The first of three nights I saw this object find a plane and take several flash like photographs of an airplane and the same to another like it was trying to reconstruct it's figure. And the big white lights in the sky I've seen turn into planes. Each time a plane went around it got better at looking/recreating what a plane looks like, the first time it must've got 747 with 7047 cause it was huge and flashing different coloured lights of purple/green/red, but each time it went around it got more and more like a plane, and now they even emit sounds like a plane, delayed still of course but getting more like a plane. Since 2011-to present. I don't know think they're alien, I think it's govt, but the UFOs I saw morph into planes I don't think that was Govt. Read Ezekiel and watch this video. This is what I saw August 3rd through August 11th transforming UFOs into planes three nights in a row, the sky was crowded with them and I checked all the flights online and they were cancelled until 9:30 am. EVERY FLIGHT. I even saw a V-shaped triangle craft drifting slowly across the sky the third night and I have my little cousin and her friend as a witness to see it (not like that means anything to anyone) but here's the video of the "God's Temple" as I like to call it. Here's the video:

I have seen three sightings that still boggle the mind when I think about them.. 2 were in the daytime and one of those was in my neighborhood in the 70's, just about everybody on our street saw it and many in the neighborhood. It was a typical large saucer with lights on the edge- it moved slowly over the neighborhood. Very bizarre. The two others were so fast I couldn't tell you a shape- one was what can only be described as 'electric blue', streaking down and then shooting off at 90*, crazy. The other had the same motion and speed but was during the day and appeared black. I've seen several other things but those 3 definitely gave me the impression that they weren't from around these parts.

I experienced the frustration and (the form of) depression that follows a sighting and hoping that someone, somewhere will report the same sighting. In 2000 it was better than six months before someone pointed me to a report and then shortly later I found another. Both were many, many miles from where we live.

As a retired/disabled grandfather of 9, I envy the little daily joys that are mixed in with the small disasters and hair-pulling frustrations. Enjoy the Here & Now and know that "Somewhere" there is someone that saw what you did. Our own daughter and grandsons just live a five minute drive away and they missed the sighting on 1-20-2000. Southern Indiana can be incredibly frigid in January. The lack of moisture in the air can make for unlimited visibility, but the cold takes the joy out of watching the sky. Since the eclipse had been almost total, they'd gone in to warm up...

There were other witnesses...as it passed directly over us, it morphed into what appeared to be a small airplane draped in Christmas lights. We dubbed it the "fiesta plane."

Driving home from work at night a couple of years ago, I saw something that I can't explain in the Chicago suburbs. I was sitting at a red light about to cross through an intersection, when I saw two lights approaching over head from the S.W., at a little more that tree top level. Being something of a life long aviation buff, my first thought was that they were wing tip landing lights on a small airplane, as they were horizontal with one another and spaced at about that distance. (There is a very small municipal airport not far from where I was.) What I saw would have looked like this, with the dotted line being what I thought was the leading edge of the wings.

(*)----------------------------------(*)

As I continued to glance at the lights, my brain told me "something" was wrong. First, the object was VERY low and were it on finals to the airport, it would not be traveling in that direction. As I was wondering about this, slowly from right to left, more white lights began to light up, one at a time, like below, until there were six of seven horizontal lights all moving together.

(*)-------------------------(*)--(*)

(*)--------------------(*)--(*)--(*)

(*)-------------(*)---(*)---(*)--(*)

(*)---(*)--(*)--(*)--(*)--(*)--(*)

(*)--(*)--(*)--(*)--(*)--(*)--(*)

By this time, the stop light that I was sitting at turned green and traffic began to move. As I'm proceeding through the intersection, keeping my eye on this thing, the lights begin to blink, but not all at the same time! It's as if they went into "disco" mode and were randomly flashing on and off. I crossed through the intersection and immediately tried to pull off the road to get a look at this thing, but by the time I stopped and got out of the car I couldn't find it anywhere.

Now, as I said, I've had a life long fascination with airplanes. I can identify almost anything in the sky, civilian or military I've talked to an airplane mechanic buddy who works at O'Hare, an ex-USAF ATC high school buddy, and my Dad, who used to fly, and none of them can think of a plane that has lights that would behave in that manner. I'm not saying it was "aliens", but it was certainly "unidentified".

I've had a couple of sightings when I was younger.

One would've been late 70's, a cigar shaped object with an aura, appeared to be very high in the sky not sure of the time of year but it was dark at the time.. usual stars and stuff.

Second was probably mid 80's... my cousin and I were camping out. I got up for... well, you know.... and I looked up and saw a large black triangle, flying silently across the sky... I say triangle but it reminded me more of the Star Trek badge, it had red lights in each corner.
From what I could discern it was reasonably low in the sky.

Call me a liar but I know what I saw

My ufo encounter was very similar to this womans account where the craft stealthed itself.

Florida witness says silent UFO ‘cloaked itself’

A Florida witness at St. Augustine recalled events from 2013 when a “large, black, boomerang craft with five large, glowing lights” silently moved overhead and disappeared as though it cloaked itself, according to testimony in Case 64134 from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

The events began about 10:15 p.m. on December 12, 2013, when a friend and his girlfriend stopped over and pointed out strange lights in the sky. The friend described the lights as greenish in color moving across the sky at a fairly low altitude appearing and reappearing several times.

The reporting witness quizzed his friend on exactly what was seen, but at first saw nothing in the sky. Eventually the friend was about to leave and they stepped outside.

The object made no noise and was described by the witness as cloaking itself. Pictured: St. Augustine, FL. (Credit: Google)

“I first saw the pair of them and almost immediately after – there it was,” the witness stated. “A very large, dark, craft, boomerang in shape but with sharp edges. There were five large, dimly glowing, yellowish lights underneath the craft with the middle one where the front would be and two on the sides, but all underneath.”

The witness described what he was seeing.

“It made no sound, and the best description of the way it looked against the night sky was like how in the movie ‘Predator,’ when he (the Predator) would be cloaked in the trees, you really wouldn’t be able to see him except if he moved. Well, that’s how this craft looked against the night sky. You could see the edges, but only because it was moving, and slowly at that.”

The witness described the lights on the object.

“As for the lights, they were glowing with a slight pulse, bright but very faint at the same time, but large. It traveled slowly in plain sight and as weird as it sounds, it just disappeared – totally where it should have still been visible, but just wasn’t.”

The sighting was very quick.

“This whole ordeal lasted only 20 seconds or so, but made a very big impact on me. I wrote the date down onto my desk and even called my friend after we freaked out on what we had just seen and had him tell me exactly what he saw as if I had not been there. Just amazing.”

St. Augustine is a city in Northeast Florida, population 69,173. No images were provided with the MUFON report, which was filed on March 24, 2015.

Florida is currently a UFO Alert Level 5 – with 1.35 sightings per million population based on MUFON February 2015 statistics. Florida received a total of 26 UFO reports in February.

The UFO Alert Rating System is based on five levels – 1 through 5 – where states with 4.01 or higher reports per million residents are rated an Alert 1; 3.01 – 4.0 reports are an Alert 2; 2.51 – 3.0 are an Alert 3; 2.01 – 2.5 are an Alert 4; and those states with 2.0 or lower are rated an Alert 5.

Please remember that most UFO sighting can be explained as something natural or man-made. The above quotes were edited for clarity. Please report UFO activity to MUFON.com.

One genuinely weird sighting with a close friend however, it was the fall out from that sighting that has intrigued me in some ways, far more. Neither of us spoke of what we saw to another person, my friend later went on to serve as a cook in the RN and spent time actually working on the royal yacht Britannia so , I'm assuming they thought he was sane enough to make sarnies for the royals.

We were both 13-14 years of age, it was a balmy October evening and we were lying on a bank watching the dark sky in our local "rec", short for recreational ground. We'd just reached the age where, we were considered old enough to stay out a while after dark and were taking advantage of that. As I lay there i saw this unusual formation of lights. It was if, at least half a dozen aircraft were flying wing tip to wing tip at high altitude to make an almost perfect V shape. As i lay there fascinated by the sight the first thing that struck me was, it was totally silent, even at great height that number of aircraft must surely make enough noise to be heard? As i was pondering that the V shape split into two travelled several degrees across the sky and then merged back into the perfect V shape.

At that point my friend said..... "Errr I didn't just see that did I?

I replied..... "Didn't see what?"

My friend ten said....."Those lights just split up and then merged again didn't they?"

I replied......."Thank chuff for that, I thought I was seeing things"...

At this point the pair of us ran up to the top of the bank and watched the formation serenely carry on its' way until they simply faded out some fair few degrees above the horizon and that was that.

In retrospect I can look back and it's the fall out from that sightings that is, in some ways, more fascinating than the sighting itself.

Firstly, given the unusual nature of the sighting and the relatively boring mundanity of teenage life in small town England circa the early 70s, neither of us spoke about it again either to each other or to others. What's more, as there were two of us saw the lights, then we should have felt free from peer group pressure in terms of us being laughed at. After all, as a 13-14 year old as with others from time immemorial, We both wanted to be different, it was almost one's raisin d'etre at that age?

Secondly, my own mother was a bit of strange fish herself. I grew up in a town house thinking it was perfectly normal to have 3-4 species of wild bird hopping around the kitchen waiting for titbits or warming themselves by perching on the towel rail of the Rayburn. My mother was not only a woman of letters , she was also a voracious reader and had studied in some depth, some cutting edge so called "esoteric texts". That she worked in library just aided her predilections and she loved to bring me books home she thought I would enjoy. A few days after my sighting I remember walking into the kitchen from school and my mum just quietly pushed a tome across the table towards me and said..... "I think you need to read this"
That book was "Operation Trojan Horse" by John A Keel. Note my mother's language not, you might enjoy this or, i know you'll love this, which was what she would almost invariably say rather..... "I think you need to read this".

Now there's a part of me that says, it's all coincidence and that's just mere magical thinking etc etc and I can fully see that only it'snot quite that simple. If you knew my mum , she chose her words with care and precision, she'd served as a telephonist for the fire service during the Blitz and not only did she sound like something from an old Ealing film accent wise, she had this inbuilt awareness of how words and they are used, are of paramount importance.

The bottom line is though, that sighting and that book were the bedrock of my whole take on Ufology. As a young teenager I thought it was a simple as "little green men" in spaceships visiting us and we'd find the evidence sooner or later to prove it. I was still learning about shades of grey and like most my age, still saw the universe in simple black and white, yes or no. In that sense Keel's book was one of the first that made me contemplate how "weird" our universe is and that, weirdness is quite possibly the "natural state". Not only that, I learned never to dismiss that which might seem at first sight and on every level, just completely dingbat. Simply deny experience is to be not only ill mannered rather, ignorant as well. Interpreting those experiences is a whole other thing and that's what has fascinated me ever since.

One thing I often hear from the usual talking heads they wheel out on so many documentaries is that "people love a mystery, people want it to be strange". Actually, for every person that is true of, there's another who has no interest in mystery and finds it totally unsettling. They much prefer the quiet life and do not seek thrills of that manner at all. Ergo, when something completely "out there" happens to these people, they are often desperate to find a rational explanation. In fact , some of the weirdest experiences I have had related to me were by those, who would wish anything, bar the experience they had happen to them.

Then again, as wise soul once said. "When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro"

Yes, one very strange and one not so exciting.

The first one was in the early '00s. There were 5 of us, we went to the beach during one summer night. We were having having a few drinks, laughing and listening to music while suddenly everybody just looked up for no apparent reason. There were three objects that looked like stars but were slowly moving, symmetrically, towards the center point. They were obviously very high and when they reached the middle point, the "spot" "shined" for a while and then suddenly disappeared. It looked completely unnatural and the phenomenon filled half of the sky. We all looked at each other like "whaaat? WOW!". Obviously we speculated what we had seen for some time and then left the spot.

When we came to our friends house, we met two other friends who were elsewhere and had witnessed the exact same thing. Those guys have absolutely NO interest in UFOs etc.

This happened at Pikkukoski beach, Helsinki, Finland. We still discuss the event sometimes.

OH yes I have seen UFOs when I was younger I saw them allot. Not so much anymore, most things I see I guess can be called a UFO but operate more like a satellite etc.

UFO's are a breeze in the park, compared to some of the other things that I have come across. I try to be a skeptic nowadays those to be honest, it is the only thing I can make the experiences logical...

Yet Even with my older more experienced and wiser mind I still cannot make sense nor place the objects and experiences I have encountered in my life...
