PS - @BD, there was supposed to be a press conference concerning UFOs to be held in in NYC after some DC hearing. That never happened due to 9/11. So a virus against dreamers is not out of the question. And that makes one wonder what the hell Covid is really about

the other thing is to let someone experience the “other” and tell them a lie that is more comfortable than the truth… no “brainwashing” necessary! And if it is truly traumatic the lie will be clung to.
Dang hidden tech. And the truth is that it can’t be kept secret forever. But each year is more damage and the reinforcement of control over the sheeple
The thing is, you had a choice.
Me? I was told that I had to do certain tasks and stop all other activities to do them.
I do not take ultimatums very well.
I had no choice. If I wanted to keep on talking with these people I would have to do what they wanted and I can’t do that
I basically said, “if this really means that much to you then you are going to have to come out to the world and demand [basically, that we stop polluting our planet]. Because I am not going to be your spokesperson.” And we really haven’t talked since (makes me wonder how much their interconnected minds are more machine than actual beings like humans).
The grey are their own topic.

Now I admit to being a layperson but if there had been Project Orion style interplanetary travel during some vague point in the 50s, wouldn't astronomers and NASA have observed this? I'm intrigued no one at one of the larger telescopes or observatories in the 50s hadn't said, "hang on one moment, one of our nuclear powered space craft is missing!".
I enjoyed reading it as much as the next person but it was very pulpy, yet the author still could have spun a passable potboiler out of it and who knows, if they'd entered it to NaNoWriMo on time? If it's supposed to be literary science fiction however, I've read far better (The Centauri Device by M. John Harrison for example).
The only part which did leave a genuinely eerie impression was the undercurrent of eugenics along with the clandestine surveillance of dreams by mysterious pyramidal shaped craft. Could it be they were hinting at something factual beneath beneath the subpar New Worlds fodder?

A lot of what the man said was also backed up by witnesses who said craft showing up in the spots and times they were said to show up too.
