A general statement and idea.

Astr0’s story feeds the the general idea of the “betterment of mankind” while simultaneously reinforcing the ancient alien thought without the aliens.

For us that liked/loved Chariots of the Gods (and probably Bigfoot), it is feeding our preconceived ideas.

Maybe this is my long, dark, teatime of the soul, but I feel the need to share (er, they got to me!! hehehe)

I hope this site melts down, twice soon!!

hey! Bigfoot is real ok!!!

actually although I'm open to the possibility of Bigfoot being real or fake. I think he real. had a interesting type B encounter in the s ierras fishing with a friend once. no visuals but lots of other anecdotal evidence from the incident. my friend was a die-hard skeptic and even he walked away going
"dude, I think an alpha male sasquatch just drove us off our fishing hole, it's the only thing to explain what just happened" like i said. we didn't get visual confirmation but we know what we heard and experienced. those bastard are loud and intimidating when they want to be. you get the message of "get the F out RIGHT NOW!!" loud and clear when they want you to.

sound like you need a disk cache cleaning and a defrag to speed you processer back up. lol

There are times when I think just wiping the drive would be best.

But that upsets my "girls" and I'm not allowed to think of it.

Rock throwing bastids!!

I really want to watch the sequel! Sorry but the stupid desire is too strong.

I have heard them but haven’t seen them. And they stink. Unless they swam across the river.

Could be... we all explore reality models and see if they fit, and this one does speak to hidden history and space opera fantasies, and so doubting it (or everything as is Solipsism or brain -in-vat) is good, imo.

I was really quite sure aliens of some sort were involved with UFOs at some level due to the antiquity of some sightings and there have been many valid, smart opinions about how this was a multi-level cover for something else, or a control measure by the "controllers" ...

and so my original warning about swallowing anything related to belief, stands.

We simply won't know ... until confirmed, and even then, all is just mind-stuff, ultimately... or at least I think so : )

But if it was hooey stitched from alt Forteana or a cover for something other, then... well, well done.

Oh and yeah, Bigfoot seems to be "real" ... or as real as anything else in this world.

I get the feeling that the whole Forever Men saga is two tales being told simultaneously. One, is the sci-fi story that has been told and re-hashed as stories go. The second one?? That is a bit more tricky.

That may all stem from my confusion of secret space program/breakaway civ. being funded from two different sources. Which is why I view them as different tales. At least it is a good classification method for the rabbit holes both lead to! But say that we take the Project Orion aspect as a real possibility (we built one and exploded a nuke to propel it). That would be a good point to see where all the "black project" stuff would start.

There are a handful of aerospace companies with the abilities and knowledge to do this. We know them by name! They are still around. And they have black projects. As pointed out earlier, the second tale could be a wink and a nod to those who "know where to look" and "what they are looking at" just like the Masons do with imagery "hidden in plain sight".

If so, then there is a mater storyteller here! At the very least, congratulations on tickling our brains as we are still discussing it all these years later!

TEOT connecting dots out in left field again!

i have zero experience with the squach's but i believe there is something out there approximating what we would call bigfoot, I think there are two types of bigfoot, the normal earthly kind then as crazy as it sounds i think there might be a extra dimensional aspect toi some other bigfoots

Not so crazy considering some of the reports I find credible, re: BF. As I've mentioned before, my old Anthro T.A. told me Sasquatch tribe was an open secret of sorts where it was implied academics and govt officials knew and wanted them left alone and protected, being human... just big, hairy , mystical humans, heh.

I say "mystical" because she told me she had encountered them in Washington (state) and was told what I wrote above... but then she shied away from extrapolating, saying, intriguingly, there were "weird" things about them I'd find unbelievable.. .something weirder than huge, hairy humans living in the wilds with no good proof ever found, that is.

And as far as this story we're supposed to be talking about, heh, I am, unfortunately, convinced there is suppressed technology and that a secret space force of some flavor exists. The only questions are degrees.

I was inclined to believe it as logic indicated something along A's story-line in the first place... the reports vs govt secrecy screams, loudly, that something is there.

The only real question is degrees... and from the tight, ofttimes lethal secrecy evidenced, the degree could indeed encompass something as egregious as A relates.

The more I learn, the less I know... and the weirder it gets.

Astr0 spun a story about certain people being picked and cloned and watched. I have seen some triangles up close and even shadow people in my house as well as a friend that refuses to come to my house because she saw a shadow man disappear was she was in the hallway coming to the room i was in.

i think everyone has the potential to get some extra attention from someone, but i think a lot of it is technology maybe a mix of human and other.

its hard for me to know that the triangles exist as he said they do. but there is allot i dont believe of his stories.

i have seen orange basketball sized orbs hover over me and my dog on a trail on a camping trip, to me getting woken up by landing on my back in my own bed(i sleep on my side) and the strangest was the 'person' i saw outside my window.

Well, though I'm inclined to think the supernatural is "true" in the sense of existing and being unknown, from some old docs The GUT threaded, some researchers were investigating using plasma spheres as remote sensing devices... and the "shadow men" could be "cloaked" operatives, rather than dimensional or ghostly.

Add that to the private testimony from a few members here, regarding being "cared for" in dangerous situations and seeing "doubles" of themselves and some being solidly convinced in private conversations with A that he knew about very personal matters from their lives... it all points towards truth or several seemingly disparate members being in collusion and trying to fool me for some hard to grasp reason.

It's a whole lotta broken worldview to adjust to, tho... and I don't much like the paranoia it breeds.

i definitely get 'high strangeness' events allot.

i wish i could download my memory so people could see what i have seen.

i can think of many many times where i should have died or gotten really hurt to walk away fine to extreme good luck.

it could all be confirmation bias. but i have seen so many things now i don't even talk about it much. people go there whole life without seeing a UFO or having extreme 'high strangeness' events...and i mean strange.

some of them were so strange its almost pointless to talk about them because people wouldnt believe

I think the Astr0 thing was a fantastic hoax and an enjoyable one at that. It's a credit to the author that he/she/they knew when enough was enough.

Same here, but I always hold to the probability that there's an underlying psychological thing going on too. It keeps me grounded more than any other approaches. People hallucinate and they have hypnogogic and hypnapompic experiences. Very normal people can hear voices and there's an immeasurable percentage of humanity who are psychologically abnormal. To be clear, I don't personally hear voices however the point I'm making is human experience is varied without necessarily being accurate.

In contrast to the rational scepticism are experiences involving other people in situations that weren't primed. For example, I was with a number of people when we saw a UFO zig-zag across the night sky. I was driving a girlfriend to lunch on a hot day at the end of March when a snowball/iceball came from the side and struck the wing mirror and splashed across the car and road. She laughed, "Why do weird things always happen to you?" It happened to her too, right?

The rather mystical, mumbo-jumbo point I'm trying to make is it's hard to tease the psychological away from the apparently extraordinary. We can sometimes project meaning into meaningless experiences and, likewise, might sometimes miss the meaningful in our attempts to remain sceptical. A good example of the struggle occurred in Michael Shermer's life and was a shared experience. Ultimately, it's why I remain agnostic and sceptical in the face of conflicting experiences.

ohh a psych issue would almost be more comforting because then i would KNOW why and what it is.

here's why i don't talk about it really, i hear what im saying and i have to admit if someone was telling me some of these things i would be very very sceptical.

allot of synchronicities that get very spooky, for example many times a week i will go to call a random friend and there is no dial tone, its because that persons on the phone and i will have not spoken to in weeks sometimes longer.

ive had a few abduction experiences, one time i came to as i was landing in bed on my back, but i 'fell' on my gf. almost like i got put back on the wrong side of the bed.

i used to sleep walk allot apparently because i would wake up in random places in my house in the middle of the night not knowing how i got there.

many many ufo's and most of them with other people thankfully.

the way i look at it ultimately is even if most can be explained away, even if just ONE of the things are real...scary.

seeing as i have seen triangles up close with other people its hard to rectify the fact these craft exist and display amazing flight characteristics, with my knowledge of current science if i didn't see it...i wouldn't believe it. it also means it us or 'them', and i don't know what is scarier.

i personally believe stuff like this is a mix of military/'others'/psych, it bugged me totally out when i saw a triangle a little close for comfort it rattled my cage a bit. and in a heightened awareness like that its easy to draw conclusions from nothing.

maybe once you tap into that strange part of life, you cant really shut it off or in the very least control it, so 'it' follows you around because what ever it is know that you can recognize it (super tin foil)

I came to the belief that it's healthier overall to spend less and less time paying it any attention. It works for me although not for everyone and some prefer to immerse themselves in the altered reality of their experiences. Each to their own.

True enough. Alternatively, none of them are real and we're living in a subjective hall of mirrors. Yikes!

It is a fantastic tale told by a master!!

The hints at black budget projects sold me that he knew his stuff. And i’m not the only one who noticed these hints. The indications are is that he is material scientist and working for one of the big three.

The rest was/is a smoke screen.

Do not pay attention to the guy behind the screen!!

I think that we have a secret space force that has crafts that for all intents and purposes would be seen as a UFO. That is what the triangles are.

My guess is that they protect our air space.

At least that is what I saw one do!

We have craft that seem to be UFOS in the shape of a triangle. The cover story is awesome because it plays on our emotions! But that is because the person telling the tale is a master story teller.

Have you read his other posts?? Like in Short Stories??

I'd also go with material scientist (or similar) which puts him/her in good literary company. Whoever it was, I can personally confirm they covered their tracks perfectly. They were clearly committed to the narrative and mystery.

I don't know and never had the experience of seeing any BBTs. One thing though. Back in the mid-90s, me and two friends took a short cut through our old high school and it was a cold, clear autumn/winter evening. One mentioned the Mir and we stopped to look up and see if we could see it. Lo and behold a satellite began to pass over us and could have been the Mir. No phone apps back then lol. We're watching it pass across when my mate noticed something else moving. He was able to guide our eyes to this object and we watched it for several minutes.

What it was was a light point of the same kind of size and brightness as the passing Mir/satellite. It was also moving at about the same speed. The difference was this light was remaining in the same part of the night sky (thumbnail at arm's length) and was moving in a triangular holding pattern. We swore and exclaimed in puzzlement for a while. Eventually, we lost interest. Not like 'boring,' but it wasn't doing anything different and continued the same pattern in the same place. We walked on.

It's something I remember very clearly. The kicker is one of my mates no longer remembers it and the other half-remembered it, but he died last Autumn (cancer). So there's a clear memory with no corroboration from the other two. Can I trust the memory?

If it occurred as described, you're probably right about some secret space technology. Funnily enough, the first person I ever told about the memory was Zorgon and he was a strong promoter of the 'space navy' idea.

very cool account of what you guys saw. I know several people that have seen the same thing. it can do other things too. but I can tell you that you can trust your memory on this one.

It's funny, the memory is so clear that I remember the cold night air and bright, star-filled sky. I even remember the direction we were facing which sometimes leads to the idea of going back there with an astronomy and satellite app. That way, it might turn out that I can disprove the memory if the original satellite was travelling in the wrong direction. Otherwise, it could at least confirm the basics of the memory and return my confidence in the recollection.

Until then, it's simply one of those experiences I can't, in good faith, use as evidence...even in my own mind. Sucks, huh?!
