People here on ATS always seem to have this problem... structured logical thinking.

When having a discussion, it is probably not wise to jump to the end and demand an explanation. You skip all the middle stuff and miss all the decision points that resulted in your explanation.

Whatsthisthen has made a differentiation in another thread that I was hoping to get to. "AI" is computer related, logical, a program, that is computer bound (even it is an advanced computer). "AS" is the step beyond an AI; it is "artificial sentience" which is a fully aware entity. How AS works may as well be magic to what we know because we don't know how we really work. Then, we can reach that stage where we can talk about a medium-less entity that can manipulate the environment? our minds? our memories?


Is it a disservice to make a distinction between 3 different types of entities? If you had just let the conversation evolve we could have tossed these ideas about, refined them, see how they fit and don't fit together. We might have learned a method of taxonomic classification that can be applied to other areas... like "ufo" where you might find it helpful to have "nuts-n-blots, ours", "nuts-n-blots, theirs", plasma orb (maybe beings?), and interdimensional stuff.

Stuff like that might help from having re-hash everything when somebody pops up and claims "it is all interdimensional beings".

Just saying.

As someone who just found this thread a few days ago and has been reading to catch up, I do appreciate this. I near jumped in and said "What's ...? " But, then I went back and read and ....stil have questions. But, I do get "most" of it.

Some fascinating stuff to touch upon.

I have found it to be most helpful to accept that just like the whole topic is likely far more complex than "Nuts/bolts, what planet are they from?" so too is it not all "magic." I think it likely that there is in fact a presence that is ET, probably many, but also some inter-dimensional aspects. I don't think the two necessarily crossover, either. I also think it is quite possible that the Earth itself has ancient intelligences that we don't necessarily account for, either based underground or the sea floor.

I also know that even if one discounts "UFOs" (large category) altogether, we're still seeing a Breakaway Civilization just based on technology and greed.

I'm also highly interested in abductions, indeed I write about them fictionally (see attached), and would love to hear from anyone who has undergone them. I am very respectful of how damaging the experience must be. In fact, it is interesting, in writing about a breakaway civilization and abductions (I have no memory or experience of one), every time something weird happens with my PC, I wonder whether someone has gone through my stuff. I believe it's been downloaded.

Anyway, just wanted people to know that this thread is appreciated very much. I wish I had more to contribute but I would just be making up personal experience (since I don' t have any, not even a sighting) and that's not helpful. I have done quite a bit of research. I guess I could bring that.

Oh, speaking of research and what I might bring in terms of Breakaway Civ, there is new science out on quantum computing/communication: www.sciencenews.org...

Figuring out quantum computing/comm would be one of the necessary pre-reqs in my mind to interstelllar

From my perspective of open minded ignorance, I cannot say if what you do is real, but thanks for doing it, either way. Unhappy sentience has a ripple effect. We are truly all in this together... whatever "this" ultimately is.

And that something that can use environment to communicate... could there be more than one ?

My own experiences with what I call "spirits" can be little physical things, to little thoughts that seemingly appear, to outright near freak out weirdness like synchronicity at a titanic, impossible to ignore level. .. but I must be dense or do most of my communicating when sleeping, cause I cannot suss the message other than something almost "divine" (as in being able to manipulate the matrix rather than in any dogmatic religious sense) being around.

You ready to lay out what you think? Curious, as always... .and not too many watching, now.

Bro I wish I knew what I think even. The truth is I don't have the tiniest grasp on any of it, all I know is that something happened near 20 years ago that was specifically done for an event that happened less than 1 year ago. I can't even really wrap my mind around it let alone try and explain it. That just doesn't change the fact that it has happened and I am stuck obsessing over it no matter how much I try and pretend its coincidence.

My guess? It certainly appears to be multiple actors but at the same time things that happen weren't supposed to be possible so who am I to try and unravel this mystery and try and explain things? Know what I mean? I don't want to pretend to be in the know or any kind of authority on any of this.

As far as I can tell I am only seeing a small part of the picture that may paint a completely different scene when viewed as the whole. I assumed this was all a metaphysical matter for the Woo Woo gurus to ponder, I never in a million years thought we would be discussing these things in this thread with these contributions. I truly am out of my depth and playing a game who's rules I dont understand.

I don't understand the secrecy to be honest. Its not like I stumbled on all this through secret contacts or government documents. I simply read books and happen to spend more time than normal on a particular one. Anyone in the world could believe what I believe, and if the powers that be wished they could know a little something too. This narrative and these events are far older than anything we can relate to in history and don't belong to anyone or anything. This is part of reality, always has been and always will be. No amount of secrecy or fear will change any of that. This is so far beyond human agency as to make it laughable to pretend we have any.

I don't know what putting any of us in a cell for discussing it would accomplish. Then again I don't have the first clue what's going on.

I can imagine. I have have dipped my toes into infinity and wasn't really stoked about it when I returned. My first response was "I shouldn't have done that, we aren't supposed to be there". I can at least report that "here" has been a LOT more pleasant since lol.

Sometimes I write for members, sometimes for those who are there unnoticed, and sometimes for the "alphabet spooks". There are also the clairvoyant people here on ATS and "others" who can follow where I go. ; )

Well, something about this particular site has enchanted me for a decade... and as I usually have the concentration of a squirrel, I'd agree. It does help those with an insatiable curiosity to ponder and frame... before it coyly dances back and leaves us ultimately unsatisfied.

But I guess if the curiosity was really quenched, then Sputnick's "Open the Veil" would leave us all gods... or in gibbering, eternal, horrible torment... or gods in torment... OR it would all blink OFF, heh.

It's just difficult to divide the wheat from the chaff when one isn't really a farmer. But ... thanks. Someday I'll make my metaphorical bread.

uh do not under any circumstances watch moon trap. 1. it's not based on RK lore. 2. it's absolutely, positively, freaking awful. nearly unwatchable. oh yeah they ran out of a budget so the last half is mostly claymation between two ridiculous robots fighting. did I mention the movie is awful?
