Think about it. It must be the case because people are incapable of understanding that the actions of a minority cannot be blamed on the majority.

I am clearly saying that the premise IN THIS PARTICULAR CASE, while wholly understandable, in my opinion is not justified by the facts. The actors are not the same. My opinion is that IN THIS PARTICULAR CASE, mistrust and whatever that leads to, of the followers of Islam, may be a reasonable, however hateful, response.

Totally different circumstances today than 1930's Nazi Germany. The persecution of minorities is not sanctioned by a fascist government. Very poor comparison, in my opinion.

Give it any context you please. It's a ubiquitous notion. Is it okay to persecute an inactive majority IF they support an active and pernicious minority? For example, is it okay to persecute Muslims that aren't actively violent, IF they support violent extremists.

Are any of the people in here flipping out over a supposed muslim threat likely to actually be affected by such a threat? I dont think so. I bet some of the most vocal ones live continents apart and are more likely to die or suffer from local crime and car crashes but they are not as interesting a subject to shout empty nothings about.

I was due to be in Madrid's Atocha station at around 8 am on the 11-M 2004 to get the train to Coslada for a meeting, the meeting was cancelled, I was lucky. Some people I know weren't that lucky. The attacks on el Pozo and Santa Eugenia were terrible, they are tiny tiny stations.One of my students lost her father, another student's cousin was killed. It was a very specific attack on a very specific line. And unforgettable.

You may be right.

Me, I was in Manchester in 15th June 1986 and literally had to run for my life when the IRA set off a 3,300-pound bomb in the city centre.

I was unfortunate enough to also be in Warrington on 20th March 1993 when two bombs were set off there by the IRA that killed two kids.

Oddly, I don't think all Irish people/catholics are terrorists.
