Those "fringe" papers made it to major news outlets and publications and were widely accepted in the general population.

Yes I know the major one was the "1974 Time magazine article Another Ice Age?" but those media articles, not scientific studies and even then the majority of actual scientific studies in the 1970s predicted the Earth would warm as a consequence of CO2.

We still have a problem with the media but as I said thats why I like to go with the science.

It was alarmist and irresponsible.

But it also mirrors the same trends we are seeing today.

We are in agreement again though it happens on both sides of the subject. One may be playing it up while the other plays it down.

You know he is still going on about that right? I also think he was considered a zoologist. I don't think he was ever considered an authority on the matter. Anyone can make a statement what gives those statements weight are published studies and peer review on the matter.

That statement is interesting because I ran across it while looking up info on population increases. I know no one wants to admit it but the advent of GMOs and development of better agriculture coupled with synthetic fertilizers saved our arses or at least granted us a reprieve. That applies to Paul Ehrlich statement as well. Still they were talking about population as it pertained to our ability to farm then. I am not sure how that ties into AGW/climate change.

Actually the scam behind blaming CO2 (that actually is the earth coolant) is in order to be able to profit from selling carbon tax credits.

Don't you know that taxing CO2 for profits is not going to help anything but fatten the pockets of the profiteers of global warming?

We need green initiatives but not at the expenses of taxing anything

Misconception my big latino rear end, this was the propaganda during the 60s and 70s, perhaps a littler research will refresh your memory.

As I have already stated there were 7 papers from that era talking about that. Please before you go insulting others memory take the time and review the information as you have clearly forgotten.

Selling earth natural cycles and blaming humans for earth farts in order to see if money can be made has been going on for a long time.

I don't think they need to control it because you have the information in front of you and you still dont get it. Judging by the last house science committee and their ignorance on the subject though it may be feigned they are probably perfectly happy with those like yourself and the internet.

I get it alright, dear, I get it alright, I rely my sources on information that doesn't have "global warming propaganda all over it, I rely in the actual history of earth cycles and nothing in the cycles of earth shows that we earth is doing nothing different from what it has done for millennia.

Plain and simple.

When in a few years earth starts to get colder than usual the profiteers will blame pollution again that is blocking the sun from warming the earth, I can not wait for the next scheme to make money.

You can not erase historical fact in the span of millions of years, but you can manipulate todays data to scare the population.

Today was the first time I had seen a video from him so I went to the youtube page and went over the links that back up the data presented. It was factual information and like I said I thought it was put together pretty well.

Grimpachi, putting the debate aside, I agree, we need to take care of our earth, we need to get all together and work on preserving our beloved resources.

Is not doubt that we need to do that, but please Grimpachi, inform yourself of the real scam behind the global warming, because what people do not understand is that is been used to generate profits, scams are been created because is easy to scare people to death in order to sell them a snake oil fix.

The names behind the global warming scam should be enough for you to be worry about what they are planning.

Not everyone can look at the evidence and understand it, just like you never seen to understand it either. This video really doesn't debunk anything at all. It is the same old denying tactics.

BTW, the NYC "march" of people "for radical changes in policy against CO2" shows how much of hypocrites the AGW crowd is. Demanding that everyone accepts the AGW religion, and it is a religion, meanwhile they trashed the area where they were marching, and then on their responses on facebook and twitter these people that were marching claim "but I didn't throw that trash it was someone else so I left it there"...

People like you seem to think that imposing "radical changes on CO2" will benefit people and will make oil companies pay... But that is not true. You seem to forget, like you do every time, that CO2 is needed by life and going after it you are not going after oil companies. You go after life on this planet by "demanding radical changes against CO2"...

By imposing "taxes" and "cap and trade" the rich get richer meanwhile they can blame "people" and "overpopulation" for climate change meanwhile companies make profits by making dummy companies from which they can trade 'carbon credits" and still make a huge profit. In the end it is the regular people who pay for this and the AGW crowd cannot comprehend this because they will never even try to understand the topic, instead they "believe' what they are being told by the AGW proponents who have been caught lying, time, and again and have used many tactics to hide the truth behind AGW.

And I agree with that, but unfortunately the AGW crowd will never see past their blinders and the religion that is AGW. Unfortunately no matter what they will keep "believing" in AGW.

By the time the AGW crowd realize what is going on they will see that they, alongside every other "regular person' will pay for the "radical changes they keep cheering for" meanwhile the climate "keeps changing".

Sequestration of CO2 will mean less global harvests, less food and less water for everyone, including animals. It will mean "less forests" including less rain forests meanwhile there is still illegal deforestation going on in many areas. Which is perfect for the plans of depopulation and population controls that tptb want to impose all over the globe.

Is so easy to sell something that really can not be kept under control, we can control water, food, resources, gasses? anybody that think we can tax carbon as credit is a fool. we as well tax the air we are breathing.

Like I say selling snake oil as a fix, nobody gets better, but they think they are, I guess that sells.

$20.00 / year for residential.
$10,000.00 / Industrial.

Misconceptions?... first of all, who the hell is that guy?... Some random guy claiming all of that without showing any proof, and you actually think this video debunks anything at all?...

Beezer provided the link for his wiki page and the "evidence" hate using the word proof because it so unscientific can be found in the section where it says "show more" there you will find links to the evidence backing up what he says.

First of all, even the main AGW proponents were mailing each other messages that they couldn't account for the lack of warming... They also mailed each other "tricks" to use such as taking out data points which showed cooling, etc, etc.

Christ some of you don't pay a bit of attention. You know that is tired old rhetoric that has been addressed and disproven throughout these threads hundreds of times and yea I have seen it provided to you before.

I make a thread to cut down on having to go over the same stuff that has been addressed and people come out of the woodwork with the same tired stuff. There have been studies that show northern hemisphere temperatures from 2,000 years ago and the trend has been cooling. It was warmer during the Medieval, the Roman and the Minoan warming periods. BTW, yes the Earth has been warming since the 1600s, but it hasn't and it isn't warmer than it was during past warming cycles.

Not to mention that it is a fact that the Earth has been warming since the early 1600s, almost 300 years before the height of the industrial revolution.

And I have seen that explained to you time and time again so I know whatever I say you will simply ignore just like everything else.

So, you, and your friend did not debunk anything at all Grimpachi. This just shows desperation on your part.
