Yeah these are a bit sad. After the new ATS update we could still use that greasemonkey script to allow the old ones to work but that was broken or something. *sigh...

Please ignore that crack about the "barmaid" Mrs G, I was just being frisky (that's about all I got.)

Oh and I will never get married again. I'm done and will live out the rest of my days as I am now. My old man fell into that trap after my mom died and what a mess that was. No thanks.

I'm a GREAT Barmaid

I don't care for these emotion faces either. They don't go where I want then to, I always have to Back Space them into place and they don't look right.

Plus I'd like a Search Function Button That Worked, What Say You ATS'ers?

OH, ETD: Drinks coming right up!!!!!

Why was i not informed about an ATS smoke lounge???
scotch and a triple maduro is my thing

One of the best bits of advice on marriages is, learn to love the faults of the spouse. it's those things about them that drive you insane that make life interesting

Yes, I am Happy and I'm Glad Like You, I stuck it out.
Way to-many just cry and give up or they have a Affair or just find another and leave.
I don't understand.

But we worked through it as you and your husband did. For the longest time.

The world would be a better place ran by strong women

I did, never been to one before.

I would happily accept an invitation to anything that consists of a day of drinking and singing. Sounds like a blast though as I said to Eyes, I don't get out much these days.

Ah, got it. I'm a briar pipe guy myself along with a fine MacBarens Scottish blend will do me fine. Friend of mine used to own a tobacco shop and gave me a Cuban cigar once, one of the smuggled out ones I guess. Have no idea to this day if that was a basic good/bad or indifferent smoke.

Yes, That's a Fact,,, So, hows the train ride?
I bet you have company in the sleeper
there's four bunks and it's a community kind of thing on a Chinese train!
I have not seen Charles, I hope he's OK.
Have you or anyone else seen him?

I really like riding our trains, lots of good company and friendship and sharing.
Normally we all bring food and we share in the little sleeping compartment, of-course there's no door for privacy, Hell, this is China, There is No Privacy!!!!

My husband use to smoke cigars to, but he stopped.

I never could get use to the smell, I did like the smell of his pipe
he had three worn pipes for smoking and as he told it, they had to be worn and well used.

But any way, he does not smoke any more, saved his health and saved our bank account
I hope he lives longer

Nice relaxing train ride .. though did get mistaken for being a wandering monk again .. turned into picnic lunch and everyone chatting or talking business .. at least it not as crowded as during chinese new year .. seems like theyve upgraded the trains a bit since last time took one bit nicer on the compartments ..

Not seen Charles probably sleeping going by time difference ..

tsingtao, how have you been doing?
I hope all is well.
It's nice to take a break from the threads and just answer questions and get answers to some questions.
Like, what do men Today, look for in a wife?
I've been think of this, most young people I see today are more interested in their cell phones or cars than their prospective Life Time Mate!
I believe Charles brought this up earlier also.

hi guohua,
i'm fine, thanks! and thanks for the invite.

it's nice to get into a thread without the insane confrontations that can go on in them.

i really don't know what today's man wants in a wife. especially a guys first marriage.
for me it was someone that would be a friend, some of the same likes/interests, and like music and animals/pets.
someone who is independent, honest and kind.

looks were never an issue, which i think some guys and gals get caught up in.

1st marriage just wouldn't work. well, plenty of blame to go around. we were both dealing with issues.
i am 13yrs older than her. i'm sure that didn't help.

this time around i got lucky. i had sworn off getting hitched again but after 2 yrs long distance, it was a go.
sold everything, packed some mementos and clothes and moved to the other side of the world.
13yrs and counting.

btw, we met online. it was a year before we even talked on the phone and almost that long before she sent me a picture.

so i guess i'm not that much help.

Morning .. am a purist when it comes to drinks and never ruin a good drink with ice ..

Find it amusing that in places it not safe to drink the water see people put ice in drinks .. they dont stop to realise where the water to make the ice comes from ..

Welcome to Hernandos hope you enjoy it here nice place and great food ..

hi expat,

you are correct about the water/ice.
i was a rusty nail drinker back in the day.
hence the suggestion.

this is a nice place, no need for armor or flame suits!

Yawn, Good morning everyone. 7am here.

Anyone tending the bar?

If so I'd like a triple Latte short, extra hot and keep them coming.
