I don't know much about British Prime minister Cameron, but at least he broke off his vacation to return home and address this terrible situation.

I have some thoughts on that, and they aren't pretty.

It's probably been said already, but it need saying again . . . . . . . . .

This is as awful a way to go as any, and I truly sympathise with anyone who would suffer the same fate - and yes that even includes the "british" executioner, he deserves a trial like everyone else - although I may be persuaded to reinstate capital punishment for crimes as blatantly barbaric and merciless as this.

It really hits home to hear a british accent on the guy doing the killing, it demonstrates how things have changed since the illegal, immoral war in Iraq - which incidentally helped spawn and foster IS during their formation.

And why didn't we see similar during the Iraq and Afghanistan wars?

Where were these thousands of diehard Muslims, willing to be martyrs, when Palastine has needed aid? Are these Muslims not worthy of their brothers protection?

In actual fact it's because this is all being controlled and manipulated from the outside, just like Ukraine (and probably every other country to varying degrees) and ultimately it leads back to the same groups and the same people pulling the strings of all of these conflict's.

As we all know (or at least those who frequent this site, and others like it) these organised groups operate in secrecy, far from the gaze of the public - they are playing a grand game of chess and we don't even realise a game is being played.

This terrible execution of this poor human being should highlight the issue and garner intensive coverage in the Main stream media - watch carefully for buzz words and vague assertions, I cannot watch say BBC news without calling out bull# every 10 seconds!

Just keep an eye on what the powers that shouldn't be do in response to this provoking action - hegelian dialectic in play. . . . . . . . , ,

1. Why would they do it?
answer: Because it has incited an emotional response against Muslims. Obama is even on TV talking about more hits against ISIS. It could be distraction from Ebola, Ukraine, Ferguson. There are many reasons, just because you wear blinders and cant think critically about your own decisions doesnt mean its absurd

2. How?
answer: If you want to fake something all you need to do is plaster it all over the media. Go to BBC, CNN, FOX - they are all talking about this gruesome movie of the US man being beheaded. What none of them say is that you dont actually see anything, there's no gruesome beheading. The dummy at the end can be created by any prop/hollywood shop

Points to note:
There is no blood coming from the through when he apparently starts cutting it open
The man in the jumpsuit is far to composed considering he is about to have his head cut off
The media has realized how blatantly fake it is and now urges people NOT TO WATCH IT! < that's a big hint!

Why was there no blood when the masked man started sawing his throat? if you had watched the beheading video's from Iraq you'd see blood splatter going everywhere and you'd see a man struggling for his life screaming in agony. You don't see or hear this.. then the video goes black.

I am just old enough to know, nothing is gained by staging this. Disrespecting this victims parents and loved ones, by saying its fake is kinda irresponsible and disrespectful, the man just got his head sawed off and you want to call it a circus act.

They did not just kill any American tourist, they murdered a member of the free press. The free press is neutral I guess nobody explained this to these troglodytes. They could have done a interview with the guy and sent a message of what they are about. But they literally killed the messenger, he was not even a emissary or diplomat of any sort. This is simply terrible. There are no others words to describe a situation like this. I can only hope that his family will get through this relatively well.

As for it being staged or not... there are some people who would benefit with this, yes. It could be fake, it certainly is a possibility. I don't particularly think so, because we all know ISIS is messed up. We didn't need any more proof, if TPTB wanted people to turn completely against ISIS, they could just have recorded some stuff that they have done and it'd be enough reason for people to want to attack them. Humiliating a man right before brutally killing him AND the way that they killed him aren't the worst (or rather, the only bad) thing they've done, if we're being honest.

But I can see why TPTB would do it, if they really did it. I really don't think that's what's happened, but I don't see it as something completely impossible.

Oh, and I have not seen the video, nor do I plan to. I've seen the pictures and that was enough for me.

I think you're absolutely right. Everyone needs to calm down. Nobody saw a real beheading. This one is staged. Years ago, while exploring the darkest corners of the web, I watched a number of undeniably authentic beheadings and also a few fake ones. There's NO mistaking one for the other. I assure you folks, this is 100% bogus. Poorly done propaganda to wind up the war machine once again. Stunned how many here are falling for it.

Clearly the sleeves do not go all of the way down his arm, because you can see where they end despite his hands being cuffed behind his back. What you are seeing in the 'after' shot is a crease in the fabric; the sleeves are not rolled up. The sleeves appear shorter because he is lying on the floor and the shirt is not flush to his shoulders.

The militant is shown sawing into Foley's windpipe for approx. one second with a small knife of unknown sharpness. This does not at all warrant dramatic 'blood splatter'. Before he starts cutting he clearly holds Foley's lips together and presses hard completely covering his mouth, but you seem to find the lack of screaming odd. Did you actually watch the video? Serious question.

When I saw the knife he had planned to use, I was anticipating a rather 'inelegant' beheading. When I saw that ISIS had decided to remove that footage, my immediate guess was that it went on for quite a while, or he couldn't finish with the knife he began with or got tired, and it got a bit pathetic.

I too would recommend that no-one watch this kind of crap, how is that suspicious in the slightest?

I gotta say, well said. I see now that ATS is mostly filled with nationalistic morons who believe in ufos and tabloid media. Not much critical thinking left. Looks like my radical notion (The idea of using journalists as martyrs to feed the war and ignorant hatred) was onto something. ISIS is nothing more but a western fabrication like Al Quaida.
